Haven't been able to find a thread concerning the price paid for a 2013 prius, so I'm starting one! Just picked up a 2013 prius two for 22.2 before TTL, 24.2 OTD. No trade in, paid cash. Mossy Toyota in San Diego!
I got my 3 for 27k. That's with the sport package. Lip kit, rims...misty grey interior. Cloth seats....that's 27k out the door.
I am newly shopping and have gotten several quotes, though they are disappointingly not competitive - I live in Northeast OH and for the Prius 3 with moonroof before tax/title I have been quoted $26200 - $26800. It's too early in the year to get data for fair market value - anybody have a guess for fair market? Also - I know that I could add the moonroof aftermarket, but am a little leery... any opinions? Thanks!
Our 2nd prius is a 2013 three Persona Series, 17's soft tex leather with color stitching, navi, and black cherry pearl paint. Sticker said 28.5k, paid OTD 29.6k. San Jose, Ca. Originally went to buy a used 2012 16k mi Prius 2. That car booked at 24.5k, was offered 22.5k plus tax/lisc. etc. Dealer prices in northern california are ridiculous, not much room for negotiating as these cars are moving off the lots fast!
I think they're asking a ridiculous amount for the moon roof at $1500. Best quote so far for me on a Prius 3, no moon roof is $24,400, so yea I would say you should shop around a bit more. I can do without the moon roof and I live in San Diego lol.
Not sure why people like to post the OTD price on these boards as tax/title/license varies widely from state to state. What did you pay before TTL?
It was originally 26,700 plus $300 for registration. I didn't have to pay taxes because I bought it out of state. I carry a NV license and I'm going to be stationed here for 3 years.
I got 2013 prius III base version from Lawrence NJ for $23400+ documentation Fee ($175) + TTL. This is the lowest price I have been offered by other dealers both online marketing departments or in person. I am happy with my purchase. Feel like I got the best deal possible as this is early 2013 and there are no manufactures incentives except the financing at this moment. I also purchased extend warranty for 5years/100K miles. However they also return this money if you do not use the warranty in those five years.
I just bought a base 2013 Toyota Prius 3 from a Southeast Toyota dealer in South Georgia. I paid $25,500, plus tax, title and license. They wanted a bit more for it, but I brought them down thanks to screen shots from TrueCar's website stored on my iPad. I was pretty happy with this until I saw Balu's posting, hah.
Sorry. I just wanted to help the new buyers. Did not expect this. I bought this in Lawrence, NJ. If this makes you feel any better.
For the extra $$ paid for the 3 vers the 2 IMO go with the Prius 2. WHY? The Nav system IMO is overpriced plus the map updates are $200 as I understand it. A portable Garmin = $100, Lifetime updates = $89 Backup camera is nice feature. As for price of new Prius Look here 2013&model=Prius+Hybrid&internetPrice=20000-29999&start=0&sort=&facetbrowse=true&searchLinkText=SEARCH&showRadius=false&showSubmit=true&showSelections=true Print out their OUT THE DOOR price then take this to the dealer your purchasing from. Montana has no sales tax but you will pay tax if your state has sales tax but don't tell the dealer this. I recently purchased a Prius 2 in Idaho (6% tax) but I showed the Lithia toyota price, they matched it but I negotiated OTD price of Lithia. Saved some $$. In my purchase I wanted 17" tires/ Rims at least $5k for trade in. I ended up with the Michelin MXM4 tires($175 per tire value), really nice 17" rims, a 2013 Prius 2 OTD price of just over $22k. I didn't like the dealer prep etc add ons but I wasn't going to miss out on this IMO a GOOD DEAL. Don't mention trade until AFTER you negotiated a PRICE of new car. The dealer I purchased from wanted $2k more than Lithia from the start.
South Texas. 2013 prius III with moon roof.... $26600+taxes msrp was $28600 and dealer posted price was $29600. Just enjoying my new expensive toy.
