I have an appointment at 1 PM to have the Llumar CTX film put on all my side and rear windows. I'm going with 30 which is legal. I have been debating back and forth whether to do 15 on the back and 30 on the front side. But I would prefer a legal uniformity. I guess I'll finalize my decision when I get there.

The black steering wheel versions I found weren't the same style that I have on my car. and the heat blue was the only color type offered in the steering wheel style I wanted. If it was offered in piano black vs heat blue I would have plastidipped it anyway, I'd rather have it in matte/flat black instead.

You using the taptalk app?it seems to stay for some reason. Web it doesn't show. Some browser may still show if the user viewed the page and cache was not cleared.

I figured it out. A little late but oh well. I didn't delete the attachment. I had to go into the advanced editing features. I didn't see the thumbnail.

So in my endeavor to find some brighter license plate lights... I have come to an end to my search.

    License Plate bulb history:
    1) OE bulbs - Illumination was good, but wanted something to match the front LED headlights. 168 blubs are somewhere around 38 lumens

    2) exLEDusa.com - These 2SMD LED wedge replacements were not as bright as the OE bulbs but matched the front LED headlights. Search started for something brighter

    3) eBay.com find - These bulbs were brighter but had more of a blue tint to them. I should have just ordered these from somewhere else but I wanted to use some ebay bucks I earned.

    4) DDMtuning.com 2.5w, These bulbs are 95 Lumens and were brighter and the right color.

    5) DDMtuning.com 3w CREE LED, These bulbs are 200 Lumens and were just right for me. Unfortunately, they didn't quite fit into the OE housing. They were 1mm-2mm too long. I'm sure I could trim the bottom part of the housing to make these fit, I just haven't had the opportunity to give it a try.

    5) iJDMtoy OE housing replacement, 18 LED - I now have these installed and they are BRIGHT and match the color of the front OE LED headlights. I'll have to take pics of what they look like, but the ones I've taken didn't come out too well.

I might go back to #5 if I can trim a bit of the bulb housing so that it fits in the OE light housing. These do replace the OE license plate bulb housings. These are a bit slimmer and did require me to do some minor trimming of these to fit on the Prius.

I'll have to open up a seperate thread on this once I can get pictures of each type of LED I used for comparison. It's just waay too cold and my car is too dirty.

Changed my "meep-meep" horns to Fiamm Freeway Blasters - now other motorists will actually "hear" my horn when utilized!

IMG_0001.jpg IMG_0002.jpg IMG_0006 2.jpg IMG_0006.jpg Had a lovely day taking off the front bumper and headlights as i managed to drop a <insert curse> parking bulb into the housing..... shakey shakey rattle headlights....

Tip.... Doing this is a PITA but is a brilliant way for neatly installing HID's and for tinkering with the Revier turn lamp wiring looms etc... the access to the fog light space is excellent without the headlights there.

And those osram parking bulbs are about £20 a set but they're an excellent match to 6k HIDs
