Is that the C-Max shifter? Whatever it is, it sure blocks the HVAC controls :(

I'd like the foot activated hatch and, yes, my girlfriend is half my age.

Funnny commercial. I will say I test drove the C-Max yesterday and it drives very well. Feels solid, has decent accelearation and very quiet even at 70mph, except for engine noise during heavy acceleration. The main thing making me hesitate to buy a Prius is that I'm tired of a noisy car and don't buy new cars often, so I want something that will be enjoyable to drive on long trips. With that said, if the mpg on the C-Max is really so much lower than adversised, that would be a big fat no off the bat. Also, I don't understand why it keeps getting compared to the Prius v. It's much closer in cargo space to the regular Prius and way smaller than the v. The front seats were a little cramped, and there wasn't much storage space for up front junk, but all in all not a bad car.

What happens if two buttons are pushed at once?
I ask because my wife once managed to unintentially to the gen2 into neutral without my noticing while on the highway.

The Dodge Ram comes with push buttons with one of the transmissions. The 8 speed, IRCC.

Easiest way to get the Prius into neutral when travelling above 7mph is to push the power button or park button. You can also do it by moving the lever to Reverse. Or you can move and hold the lever in neutral. All will result in neutral being selected.

If you press 2 buttons at once, which ever was pressed first is the one that registers. Even if you press them both at "the same time", one will trigger first.

lol. That's hilarious. Pretty good ad. Although I'm not sure how a giant shifter is "the future" when he immediately refers to shooting buffaloes in 1885.

If he wants to compare shifter...

Tideland, don't tell me you got shifter envy? ;)
At 6'-5" - I'm kinda glad our Leaf shifter is such a teeny little shrunken stub. It keeps me humble.

Even compared to our prius shifter, it has major shrinkage

Exactly my point as well! Why aren't reviewers calling out this discrepency? The Prius V has 50% more cargo capacity as the C-Max, and now to find out, actually gets as good, or better MPG to boot! The comparison should be at least with the regular Prius, and even possibly the Prius C.

I thought that it was a funny ad. Why would Ford not mention the Prius v - is is the better known and far more established competition. I think all that Ford was trying to do was to get potential customers just to think about the C-Max if they were considering the Prius v - I think that this ad hit is mark quite well.
