    So ... D2s won't fit with the cover ? Will h1?

I could have sworn others have successfully fit them in the 2007 hid housing...?

Any thoughts F8L? Has anyone with OEM HID noticed an improvement in light output with new bulbs? I believe the previous owner had them replaced in 2008 (making them a few years old...like 4.5)

Has anyone tried buying premade headlights for Prius w/ HID?
Here they are in chrome or black?

I've decided to do a proper projector retrofit and stop wasting my time on PnP kits! With the advice of 2k1Toaster here and all the information gathered in this thread alone, I am now motivated to get this done! I've also talked to the folks at The Retrofit Source, studied the information on their site and may be going up to the NYC area for the install. One of the recommended installers by The Retrofit Source called Lightwerkz may end up doing the project for me. If they do end up doing the project I'm hoping they allow me to watch carefully so that I can have the confidence to try this on my own down the road.

Since I'd like to be able to easily switch between the original light assemblies and the fact that this projector retrofit will require a bit of modification to the assemblies, I purchased a new set of premium light assemblies from Headlightsdepot.com for $112.43 each to begin the project.

I plan on using Bi-Xenon FX-R projectors with clear lenses and 4300k D2S bulbs and at this point unsure which bulbs and ballasts I'll end up going with, but I'm excited! I'm sure there are no other Prii in the area that will have lights like this yet alone many high end cars, so the looks I'll be getting will be interesting. :p

    These?

It was discovered that you get what you pay for when u buy the pre-made ebay Prius projector headlights. The beam pattern is awful. Practically worse than oem halogen beams.

How hard is it to wire the DS2's from stock halogen lights? This is my only real concern with this mod. Probably looking to do this sometime this summer.

PriusPilot84: Not hard wiring wise. I wish my CarDomain thread that acted as a "how to" was not lost....and I can't seem to upload photos to this thread. E-mail me at [email protected] via "normal" e-mail and I may be able to help out. Cheers. Mike
