I have unsuccessfully looked for ways to make a thread I have viewed become greyed out so I don't read it again by accident. Where is this setting located if there is one? I can read posts and after I go back to the list, it's as if they were never viewed. Thanks! ES44AC
Hi Danny, No just in the regular forum pages, un-read and read threads all appear in bold type. They do not go back to standard fonts after reading them. Maybe that's the way the new forum is designed, other forums I use make the bold type go away after reading a posting. Thanks, ES44AC
Assuming you're reading the posts in a web browser, how are you getting back from an individual post to the threads list? If you're just clicking the Back button this will not generally cause the page to update, so all the posts will still be bolded. You then need to click on Reload to force the page to update.
hi ftl, That's got it. I always just use the mouse's back button to go back in to the list. You are correct, if I choose F-5 to refresh the page then the postings that are read aren't bold any more. Or if I log off an on that does it too of course. Tnx, ES44AC
