I am quite happy with this setup. The only negative is the tightening knot blocking the Entune touch screen.

Well, it is partially blocking the air vent but it doesn't bother me.

Nice setup.. so that mount sits in the CD slot?

I just have my G1 sitting in the front cup holder when I have it with me.

Yes, it is a CD/DVD slot mount. Model is MT5000 if you want to Google it.

I have that same mount, but I am not too happy that the top of the CD slot is so close to the edge. The CD slot bezel starts bending the second you try to tighten this mount. Same mount works great in my RAV4 tho.

Thinking about putting a piece of plastic in the groove above the CD slot to provide some resistance, as I don't want it to be permanently bent/warped (leased car).

Yea, I noticed the same too but I am not too concern.

I think it would be a smarter design if the tightening screw is on top (behind the phone) instead of at the bottom blocking the LCD.

Then the phone would block the Entune screen.

I plan on replacing that thumb screw with a regular short bolt, which should fix that issue (think the review on amazon had a picture of such a setup).

Bummer, I tried getting one for my other car, but looks like this is the same coupon they used last time (several weeks ago, different amount), so I can't reorder it.

BTW, what BT adapter are you using? Do you leave it plugged in? Thinking about trying to find a smaller one, as mine sticks out, and am concerned about accidentally kicking it.

Very interesting. Instead of using the CD slot, slide it in the crack between the steering wheel and the dash. Very slick. Gotta try it!

I couldn't mount it like I thought you did. How did you mount it?

I picked up a cellphone mount from Walmart, grabbed some 3m doublesided tape, I didn't trust the one that came with it because I didn't want any residue left behind. I stuck in on the steering column and it's been great ever since. BTW, I picked up a cheap pay as you go android cellphone from Radio Shack so that I have have Torque dedicated to it. Turned out a lot cheaper than a scanguage. Easily slides in and out of the holder. So it's set to turn on and off with the car so I never have to touch it.
