Modifications

In order I would do Mud Flaps(because of the road I live on), Rims(enhance the look and handeling), FogLights(Front look of the car) and then the radio(driver enjoyability). Suspension I would have to think of, I might lower mine but it's going to depend on how it would look with the rims.

 

It all depends on how many mpg's you want. Larger wheels and tires are going to reduce your fuel economy. If you bought your pri for fuel economy, like most of us did, then try to stay away from larger wheels and tires. There are many aftermarket wheels that are similar to the OEM 15's your car came with. With that being said.
1. New Wheels and Tires (Nothing improves the look of a car more IMO)
2. Lowering springs (It makes the new shoes look even better)
3. Window Tint (Not on your list, but a must for me)
4. Fog Lamps (Just because they look cool)
5. Mud Flaps (I'm on the fence with mud flaps. Not sure they are needed)
6. New radio (The factory radio works well enough for me)

 

I would:

TRD lowering springs for better handling
Rear sway bar (cusco)
2012 Wheel covers for your stock wheels
Clazzio leather seat covers
HID kit

Your car will look nicer, handle better and be more comfortable. Save the extra cash for flowers for your significant other and new tires. May I recommend the Energy Saver A/S?

 

TRD Lowering springs, where to get them?

 

You can order TRD springs from your local Toyota dealer. Try tire rack for H&R. TRD springs have a more level drop, while H&R springs drop the front more for a raked out look.

 

I'm looking forward to doing a few things this Spring.. I like the way they improve the overall car and driving experience, thanks to all the great PC insight!
1. Wheels and tires, either 17" MB Viper or Drag DR35 wheels, I''m still weighing the offset issue between the two. Most likely going with the Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires.
2. TRD springs and rear sway bar
3. I want to do a TRD strut tower brace but I plan on making this a 200k miler and worry it may get in the way when engine maintenance becomes an issue. At 45k miles/year, this time will come fast.
4. Audio is almost done, pics to come. I mounted amps in the trunk tray and built a custom false floor to display and cool them. I have a Boston G1 10" sub in a ported box but I'm going to build a sealed fiberglass cubby box when the weather warms up. Fat Mat sound deadener is on the doors with Rockford 6.5" speakers in baffles. I kept the original Entune display audio head unit though, love the ease of use.
5. Tint

 

I looked at the Drag DR 35 wheels, very nice. The sales rep at tire rack talked me into Drag DR9's due to low weight (16.5 lbs) and ease of cleaning. With that much time in the seat, maybe some nice leather seat covers should be on the list. Anyway, sounds like your ride is going to be killer no matter what. I can't imagine 45K a year. I did marketing and sales for a year (28K). It was too much for me, I teach middle school now. LOL!!! Pray for me!!!

 

I had thought hard about buying the Prius 4 for the leather but cheaped out. I got the super light gray cloth interior and regret it, especially with 2 little ones.... Now that it's winter, heated seats and a remote start would be nice. There's #6, remote start!
DR9 is a nice looking wheel. I wish we had Discount Tire shops on the east coast, would much rather walk into a shop and talk to the people. All of our shops in S. PA don't seem offer much that I like for a budget.

Any reason why you would go with Cusco RSB rather than the TRD one?

 

The Critic seems to bang his bar or get stuck on bumps. I'll have him tell you about it. He is laying on my garage floor at the moment. LOL

 

Rosen Navigation, leather interior, homelink rearview mirror, backup camera, or maybe just trade up to a new 4.

 

I am not sure what the Cusco looks like in comparison to the TRD bar. I have had some issues with the bar hitting the pavement HARD when I drive over speed bumps, if there is 1 passenger and a sizable amount of cargo in the hatch area.

However, I DO believe that my issues are caused by the worn-out rear shocks. YMMV...

I've had my Cusco RSB on since Oct & I've never had it scrap up against anything. I went with Cusco cause I didn't want to worry about the bushings making noise when the weather drops

 

Thank you for the picture. That looks nice. Are both Cusco and TRD the same size? I think 25mm, right?

 

Do you ever not have at least a double sized load of cargo in the hatch area?

 

Seriously! It's that heavy nice person 2-ton (literally) jack he carries around.
