I was looking at Prii today at my local dealer. They had a 2012 Plus edition with all the bells and whistles. The center console, shifter ring and front and back window switch plates were carbon fiber looking. I had the service dept look up the part numbers and get prices. It was over $600! Attached is a picture of the quote. Where online do these parts exist?
My Prius has a different looking console than most, though it is not carbon fiber. I too would be interested in seeing what that looks like. Mine is a dark smokey marble grey look, it's got more a shine to it than the ones that are just grey and have a more flat finish to them. When I get it back I'll take a photo, though it is certainly not carbon fiber.
I'm might go back to the dealer and take some pictures. The question is, besides the stealer ship, where to buy?
Somebody on here has that car with the TSS package. It is basically a repackaged Plus package with some additions. This package is offered in GST region. Spice up your 2012 Toyota Prius with the TSS Limited Edition Package - Austin Cars | Examiner.com It seems like they did it piece by piece. There should be a accessory that packages them all together. The fake wood one is around $150 and OEM part. Woodgrain Dash Applique - Light Bamboo at Sparks Toyota-Scion, Myrtle Beach, SC
The wood grain is an applique though, so it's just thick vinyl coated pieces cut out in the shape of the console if I am not mistaken. My Prius has grey marble grain, applique I'm assuming.
I was looking at prius plus interior trim. There is very similar fake carbon fiber pattern on honda accord models. Yu can do it yourself mush better job with more real look with carbon fiber vinyl. I sell this vinyl, to cover all four window switches and dash trim will cost you not $600, but probably about $30-$40 or even less. If interested I attached some pics of my interior mods with this carbon fiber vinyl wrap. It is good for inside and outside. Cost $2 per square foot and free shipping for prius chat members. Send me a message if interested.
