Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to the community. Just traded from my 5 series BMW for a Prius Plus because I couldn't in good conscience commute at 16 MPG any longer. I have followed the Prius for many years and feel good to finally make the switch. I am still on the first tank of dealer provided fuel but I have enjoyed reading all the good input on the forums and try to practice the good driving advice given here in an attempt to maximize my MPG and fun factor. Just wanted to say hello and thanks for all the advice shared here on the boards. Drew
Thanks Spiderman... I have never been a white car fan in the past but I did fall in love with the Blizzard Pearl and bought it.
It's funny that my biggest concern about taking the plunge was giving up my BMW but I enjoy the Prius so much that it has been painless. I suppose there comes a time that the economical and environmental payoffs are a lot more important and I didn't feel right commuting alone in a huge gas guzzler anymore.
I'm right there with you. I was never a fan of white until I saw the Blizzard Prius. That's a sharp looking car. Congrats on the switch. Believe it or not, I've seen many BMW owners trade in for the Prius. Enjoy the ride and when you have questions, let us know.
It's crazy Tony, The salesman showed me the line of BMWs they have taken in trade this month and half of them were traded on a hybrid. Of course this was a car salesman telling me this so you be the judge ;-)
