Oh yea, missing my 60+ mpg tanks from the spring. ;( The average has been creeping down for what seems like months. Must be all the short trips and the inopportune red lights.
Coldest morning commute for me yet. 13-16F on my 50 mile highway commute in today. Scored an indicated 46 MPG (-2.5 MPG typical MID optimism= 43.5 MPG). Not bad. My last car (burning 91 octane) would struggle to get 19 MPG highway in the cold winter months.
I'm convinced. As my mileage was taking a real hit with temps staying at or below freezing for a week or so. I decided to block the grills. Yup - mileage back to near normal. Now, someone needs to jump on a "bra" with adjustable grill openings.
