I want to get a battery charger to maintain our '06 and '10 Prii. After doing some research on Amazon, I think I've narrowed it down to these (links are to product pages on Amazon):

    CTEK 3300
    $54.98 (5 year warranty)

    Pulse Tech XC100-P
    $85.30 (5 year warranty)

    Optimate TM-141Dual
    $67.40 (3 year warranty)

    Yuasa YUA1200901
    $28.53 (3 year warranty)

    Yuasa YUA1201501
$52.01 (3 year warranty - this one is a dual 6v/12v charger, but I don't really need that)

Decided not to go with Battery Tender after reading too much feedback about poor tech support.

    What would you recommend? Thanks.

I know this item is not on your list. I did a lot of research before I bought our charger/maintainer. This is what I went with. It is a little pricey, but for what it offers and does I felt comfortable with spending the extra money.

    BatteryMINDer Battery Charger / Maintainer with Desulphator — 12 Volt 2/4/8 Amp, Model# 12248 | Battery Maintainers| Northern Tool + Equipment

Barry, Battery maintainers have become very popular items in recent years and I would assume that those you have listed may all be quality items. However, the Battery Tender has received pretty good reviews on Amazon. The one that I bought Amazon.com: Battery Tender 021-0128 Battery Tender Plus 12V Battery Charger: Automotive has over 800 reviews and is offered at many other sites. I wouldn't rule it out.

Let us know what you decide to buy and how you like it. And have a Happy New Year.:D

Thanks Ron. That's a little out of my price range, and I think I'll go with one of the less expensive options.

    Barry,

I do understand that the BatteryMinder is a little expensive. One thing to consider is that it does come with the ring terminal adapters you were asking about above. The terminals are plenty long and can be easily installed on the Gen 2 whereas you would simply plug them into the unit whenever you want to charge/maintain the 12 volt.

Good luck to you. I have no doubt you will find what you are looking for.
