Hi nedear88, would you please share how to connect the blue wire to fuse box? Where are the three empty male blade for you to use the female connector? As I understand Toyota uses low-profile mini fuse, how do you tap the wire to the fuse?

    Thank you in advance.

Finally something we get here first!

    Maybe because Philips is Dutch....
But here it's also hard to get them.
I saw an eBay.com auction....but that one was from Latvia and $220.....

Anyone installed the Philips DRL's (the 4,5 or 8) on a Prius 3?
Do you have to remove the bumper?
    Or just the black grille?

    Hi PC!
I got the Philips 4 LED DRL kit from Amazon. I replaced the WebElectric module that used the turn signals. Here are some pix:

Pretty bright! Tight fit! I also installed the Valenti HC LED Tail lights.

I installed the new version of Philips a month ago.
I think they're called DaylightGuides or something like that.
They have 1 hipower LED (6W) and a diffuser tube instead of 8 separate LED's.

    Hi xliderider,

I took this today from across street at work. They are actually a lot brighter than the photo shows. Very white!

Got my DRL 4's. Upon testing, the DRL shuts down when the other wire is powered up - DRL does not dim. Just shuts off. Is there something wrong with my module? DRL's are very bright and good quality.

That's how they're supposed to work. The DRL 8 is the one that dims.

Zed, how did you install your DRL 4's? Tried to squeeze it in there and they are pretty tight. Did you use the mount in your install?

    Hi ImeanGreen,

There are compound angles to deal with for this install. I used a Dremel tool to cut away plastic, but you have to leave enough for the mounting screws to bite into. Plus making sure the lights point straight and level. I made a drawing to try and explain. Yes, I wedged them in there, but did that LAST. Once you lock them in the brackets, it’s tough to get them out. Also, do not press in on the plastic grill too hard down there or it will pop out of its clips, and the lights will not be level. I did all my work without removing the front end. It may have went quicker if I did. As far as wiring, I attached the hot wire to a wire in the fuse box (some folks talk about the wiper fluid motor wire?), and the 'sense' wire to the side parking light. When the parking light is ON, the DRLs are OFF. I suppose you could connect the sense wire to the head lights so the DRLs are ON unless the headlights are ON. I wired mine like Toyota would.
