    Thanks!

Got them installed today! Decided to use pin 24 for power and the ground switches for ground. I didn't like how high they would have sat if installed over the stock plates, so I used the tape and stuck them right on. A hairdryer to keep the tape sticky in the 30* weather was necessary, and it took an hour or so to complete. I love how it turned out!

I also ordered the same sills as Mr. Motörhead and PaJa. (thanks for the pics!)
Would be nice if I could do it in an hour.....
The part that looks the hardest (to me) is locating all the door-switch wires and connecting them to the sills.

But first I have to wait for them to arrive....ordered them on December 27th.

My Philips Daylightguide DRL's should arrive this week, so that will be my first "big" project on the Prius.
I think I have to cut/modify the lower grill a bit to fit them.
Philips - LED DayLightGuide Daytime Running Light LED solutions DRL 12V 6W - 12825WLEDX1 - DayLight - Car lights - Lighting

I only stuck a stainless steel rear bumper protector to the car.....but that's not really a project.

I used the same units on my gen2 Prius although they are advertised for gen3. I fitted them on top of the OEM black plastic protectors without clearance problems on the bothem of the doors. sill.JPG rsill.JPG

Yes, it is not a best fit, but I prefer the easy removal if needed.

Is it easy to find the wires of the 4 doorswitches?

Super easy, the two for the front doors are in each footwell kick panel, and the rears are a bit more work to get to. There is a bolt on each side panel to get to them. I think somone explained that in an earlier post actualy.

PaJa wrote something about the vent of the battery compartment (right rear)...
But aren't they located at the bottom of the B-pillar?

Instead of localization of the correct wire in the footwell bundle, I soldered "-" wire close to the door switch. No big deal for front switches, a little bit more work for rear door - you have to remove side cushion panels.

The front driver side sill is installed.
    I soldered everything.
Now I'm gonna do the passenger side and maybe the rear sills....if there's time left.

Rear driver's side door switch had a green wire and passenger side was red.
I tapped the driver's side to the harness because there were only 2 green wires....50% chance and of course I had the wrong one first.
On the passenger side there were around 10 red wires to choose from......I soldered it directly to the door switch.

Made it right before it got dark.

I'm going to be installing my Illuminated door sills and was hoping that someone had pictures of the rear wires to tap. I noticed this post had what I needed, but the pictures appear to be broken. Anyone know of any other threads that would have something similar?

Those pictures don't seem to work for me either. The thumbnails do, but the when I try to view the larger images they are missing.

Do you know how to get to the rear door switch? Do I have to take off the door skin and tap into that?

He removed the actual switch from each door and used the switch as the ground to close the circuit.
