I'm really curious about this. (the cover linked in the first post). I like the "idea" of wheelskins, but I have to be honest that the way they "hop over" the spokes looks very "pep boys" to me... not professional. I like this cover because it's adapted to the spokes like a factory option... covering the upper 9:00 and 3:00 spokes completely and then looping under the two lower silver spokes which seems to be the most appropriate way to accommodate the wheel's architecture.

Has anyone here bought and installed this? I'm very close to buying the blue/black two-tone version and giving this a try...

At $115 for just a wheel cover, you might as well spend a little more and get the JDM piano black steering wheel or equivalent.

thing is, I'm looking for a comfortable grip and so the idea of leather sounds more appealing that a hard handle like a piano-black finish. That being said, I could be tempted, but I don't want all-black... I really want something with a two-tone blue... here's an option, though I wish that the wood area was solid blue rather than the dual-tone paint:

Realistically, this is probably the one I'll end up getting, though I hope that the "black" matches the interior and doesn't look too gray...
this one looks good: Fit Toyota Prius ZVW30 ST93 2 | eBay

and this sportier version looks good (but costs more): Toyota Prius 2010 2011 Mit Hybrid Blue Black Wood Leather Steering Wheel | eBay

The one I think looks the best is this one, but it's ridiculously priced:

and I like the idea of the leather-wrapped hand grip at the bottom with this one (but not the rest):

If you want the heat blue with the sportier grip, Nigel has it cheaper for $210 (select the Sport version). The grip is similar but not as aggressive. Otherwise, the standard version ebay one is cheaper.

Are there any issues with Stock leather prius steering wheels. Looking at two different ones on ebay for less than $200. I have the "rubber" wheel. I want something that looks stock and has a better feel.

How about a photo of your "AutoZone Shifter with adapter installed?"

Then, we will all be LOL.

I have the button shifter. Guess I need to update my Mod List.

Then, you need to update your "profile."

Does the button shifter meet SAE, TUV, or other automobile equipment certification standards?

When you first got it did you have to look down to find the correct button to shift?

Did you disable the reverse beep? If so, how do you know if you won't hit a car in back of you, if you mistakenly hit the wrong button?

Do you also have an iPhone and an app to check you tire pressure?

I still use a mechanical gauge and a 12 years old cell phone.

ummmm. Are you trolling a thread about a leather steering wheel with some post-Christmas hating???? LOL

    1. It meets all standards, you can find many members who have made the swap.

    2. I never have to look down except when hitting neutral for the carwash.

    3. I check my tire pressure with an electronic handheld gauge, slightly fancier than the stick reader.

    4. I'm so sorry you have a 12 year old cellphone, I'm very happyy with my Galaxy S3.

    Have a wonderful HOLIDAY SEASON!

Not sorry! Are you paying $15 a month for cell phone service? I am.

HAPPY NEW Year to you, too.

I pay $35, $15 is very good, I can't quite get that for unlimited everything 4G here in Dallas. Keep trying. I'm sure you'll get me on something.

Hey @priusrick. If you're looking for leather and a better feel, how about one of these? The black would look great with your ride.

Here's the fake CF one I bought. Very happy with the feel and the looks.

Anyone have a review of the Original Leather steering wheel. Thinking of grabbing one on ebay for less than $200.
