A perfect example... Why does a former Presidents wife need protection if they can call 911 and get a police just like us???
Think those secret service guys have guns?

Is the government going to provide us with 24/7 protection?

Oh.... forgot they do... That would be the police.... Apparently that isn't isn't good enough or they wouldn't need secret service.

...... So us poor folks who dont get secret service, have to protect ourselves.

Thank God I don't have to live on one of those neighborhoods that the cops won't even go to for fear of their own lives... The poor citizens Like living under drug Lords.

^ then there's Democrat Senator's Charles Schummer an Diane Finestein, both staunch anti-gun advocates. Except when it concerns themselves, both own guns and possess unrestricted concealed carry permits. Both also make use of free armed police escorts.

There are many other anti-gun supporters who own guns or avail themselves of armed escorts, Rosie O'Donald comes first to mind.

Yep, it's easy to force the world into utopia, until reality knocks on your door.
We are so privileged so far to not have rockets launched our way, and when they do I'm sure we won't just sit and take it like we've asked Israel to do.

We will launch the fires of hell if we get attacked and everybody will jump on the band Wagon when they are afraid for their own skin and don't know if the store will explode into flames when they go buy groceries or whether to send their kids to school.

I know, they say we are just being paranoid..... What's going in on the rest of the world can happen here... Why not?
When everyone sees the vilian as the victim I don't see why not.

If that ever happens, lots of ammo would just buy you more time to go deeper "don't know to where" or move locations.

I don't see it as an issue as long as the government is of the people and by the people?

Hitler rose to power initially because he appeared as a savior who secretly had another agenda. The people loved him in the beginning.

His own staff grew to know he was corrupt but didn't dare do anything and "couldn't" dare do anything.

He bought off key people as those people sold their soul for themselves rather than the people they were elected to serve.
Once that happened, there was no going back.... The people were overwhelmed and had to give in or flee the country.

Germans are not some derolect religious wackos who want to take over the world in the name of Allah or Gihad.... They have always been a noble people.

Who are we to think we are different?

Who would protect you, the police? The military?

Forget all that, for the present we just need protection from ourselves....

When things get desperate, we do not consider the welfare of others but only ourselves.

People on drugs are desperate, people down on their luck and out of work about to lose their house, family, car etc are desperate.

You can't even pull over con the freeway in broad daylight anymore.... It's not for fear someone will stop to help you, but rather the opposite... They will rob you... You are defenseless, with no car, no weapon, and even if you can use your cellphone, help will only show up in time to report what already happened.

I sometimes wonder if people fear people having guns because "they are up to no good themselves " and don't like others besides themselves having them? "maybe someone will see when I break in that car, and I may get shot!... LOL,!

I try to give people the benefit of a doubt until they finally hang themself, I'm starting to wonder about the obsession with a responsible citizen having a gun to protect themselves?

I'm a very responsible person and deal in medical and am entrusted with people's lives on a daily basis...

Being responsible is protecting yourself and family from real threats.
Living in denial is foolishness and irresponsible.

Good sense can be misinterpreted for fear. And fear can be misinterpreted for good sense.

^ Ack! Sorry, nevertheless gun sales are up and crime is down. The two may or may not be related but it does disprove the anti-Gun rhetoric that guns cause crime.

Again... Mexico is our example of gun control to the citizens while the criminals just don't seem to abide willfully by the same rules.

I think one issue we have is the "no chl redneck" that can't even drive a car without leaving his liquor at home.

Liquor, drugs, & guns dont mix.... But don't pick on citizens willing to be accountable and responsible to make them vulnerable to the reckless idiots.

I guess by definition, a redneck is supposed to be a hot head rather than a backwoods unlearned person.

I'm definitely a country boy, love sleeping in woods nude... Opps... Maybe not nude, but I always make the joke I could sleep naked in the woods without a weapon or tent and feel safe.

I have relatives that are the type that tackle wild hogs with just a pen knife in hand.... Tough and rough around the edges who tame the elements and not afraid of doing what it takes to win.

Never thought of myself a redneck. But I hate the attitude now a days we are victims and supposed to roll over dead when the lion comes into camp to rape and pillage.

The one that rises up when the enemy comes in is not redneck, but a man...
