I love my Prius but this is one of the worst commercials I have ever seen. I've had to turn it off many times.

It doesn't bloody rhyme! Since when does "fun" rhyme with "from," and "hum" rhyme with "everyone"? With a little effort, this could have been made to rhyme. The singing is so indistinct, that I heard it as "to and fro" and "let's honk, honk etc."

Ah, the Pric-, err, ah ... Prius, yes that's it! Prius. After a couple of test drives for the fun of it, my wife LOVES the car, but I'm more partial to the Chevy Volt. But regardless, Prius or Volt, there IS one single fact that no one is getting: Ordinary people can't AFFORD these cars.

Case and point: I'm 47 years old, I own a 1993 Honda Civic LX (Great car too!), and I made $22,000 last year ... and the year before that, and the year before that. And you know what? The highest wage in this neighborhood, is about $29,000. So, Riddle me this Batman: how in the Hell are ordinary, working poor (Who outnumber potential Prius owners by about 1000000-to-1) supposed to buy these wonderful, fru-fru, pie-in-the-sky, Eco-friendly vehicles when we can barely afford to pay our rent and put our kids through college?

This one is clearly better. The shorter, edited one missed the most important message.

Hmmmm ... Since I do all the maintenance on my 1993 Civic myself, and I already work two jobs since my IT Degrees and 20 years of experience don't seem to mean anything these days anymore, I think I'll just spend more time and energy trying to buy another more affordable car instead of a four-wheeled japanese-made sign that says, 'LOOK AT ME! I'M BETTER THAN YOU!"

i think the civic is japanese. what's your problem man? it's a nice car that gets great mileage. and at $22-23,000. it's not expensive.

Oh, I don't know... the past 23 years have been fun with her ... plus, an out-of-work, bi-lingual accountant really makes keeping a budget easy, never mind the side perk of learning how to speak Spanish!

well i can certainly understand that. you can also buy a used prius as well as any other car. but dissing the car because you think people only drive it to make a 'statement' doesn't make sense to me. it's a great car. and you sound small when you say that. there are cars i can't afford, that doesn't make them bad.
