What tire pressures are you running?

interesting, because I went to Locate your Local Toyota Service Center for Maintenance, Diagnostics and OEM Parts and looked up the specs there and posted a screenshot of the manual

An easy fix is just to jam a paperclip in where the fuse is and then you can go beyond the 10 or even 15 amp limit (kidding ;-)

My tires were set to 40psi back in august when i got car i did it.....

now that its colder out, checked and were down to 32! so I upped them back to 40.

Temp changes colder you see a pretty big loss.

Did you set all to 40psi, or did you do 40/42?

 

I had the same situation too. The tire pressure dropped to the very low 30s, just before Sandy hited us.

 

Go 42 front 40 back. Helps keep car straight in snow, better tracking.

each tire was down exactly the same amount equally.

this is exactly what happens when temps drop in winter, and checked cold.

My truck on other hand is filled with nitrogen and never changes PSI at all, in 3 yrs.

Paste:
tires filled with nitrogen rather than air also exhibit less pressure change with temperature swings. That means more consistent inflation pressures during a race as the tires heat up.

do not know, every car I've owned has had slow but persistent air leaks without any actual leaks in the tire. Bike tires are especially bad with this.

 

yeah my bike tires do same....think anything with a tube loses air pretty consistently.

new tires with a proper seal, new rim...should not lose air.

that is for air.....cause air fluctuates , but its not due to the seal. proven by the fact nitrogen does not change yr after yr. unless you do have a bad valve or seal ect.

I agree with ryogajyc, when I had my 2010 Prius I had Nitrogen in my tires, my tire alert always went off every time the weather got cold.

 

lol...yes air permeates thru rubber, i read that same article.

nitrogen does not, at least for my truck....got the tires 3 yrs ago now, first time ever use nitro....checked tires at same time as i checked prius....were spot on to where they were set by installer 3 yrs ago.

that proved to me my 4 month old prius which i set to 40 when bought it, VS my 3 yr old nitro truck has a big difference. One lost air quickly and other one has not changed.
