excellent observation. that explains quite a bit of the variation in charging times and kWhs.

Yes I know. But I am only considering charges where I just went to empty on the battery just before I needed to charge. Not real accurate...but I've never seen a number as big as 3 kw-hrs ever. I think the ChargePoint vales are probably more accurate than a $25 kill-a-watt...it is a device designed to precisely deliver and charge for supplied power.

You have quite a few days with more than 15 EV miles. Is it because of convenient charging stations or recharging at your own residence? An interesting data point would be to know the ratio of private/public charging and it's affect on EV ratios. Public charging has been key in increasing my EV ratio.

EV is 35% and HV is 65% now. EV is still going up.

mine has been going steadily down since i brought it home. and now with the ice kicking on during my commute, which was all ev previous to 5-6 weeks ago, it's only gonna get worse.:(

    What's your lifetime EV:HV?

Winter EV ratio will be lower. It'll be interesting to find out the full year average.

you can see all my stats on the spreadsheet. edit: lifetime is 45/55 ev/hv. i was doing 15 miles a day ev and one day i would do about 100 miles on one charge for my regular trips with misc ev errands and the occasional longer hv trip. but now, i'm doing 13 ev and balance hv and i'm expecting ev to drop some more since winter isn't really here yet.

Since I haven't filled up since July 26, 2012 I'm going to stop charging my PIP in December and January so I use 5 gallons of petrol. I get about 30-35 mpg driving to work (2.7 miles one way twice a week) Hopefully my Sony Rewards points will be at 3500 by January (3500 gets one $25.00 BP gas gift card.)

ICE fires at 125 miles, manual says use 5 gallons to freshen the tank every six months

occasionally I see my son and his wife who is 50 miles away, or EV car shows, other than that just to work. and only the PIP is my only vehicle. Besides my car payments kinda restrict my extracurricular activities.

This is a record of my MPG since 2007. Since I'm now paying $15.00 a month for electricity to charge my PIP. It should be cheaper.
