If someone wants to push the limit of the car in a deserted parking lot that's fine with me. Doing that on a highway is nothing but reckless as far as I am concerned.

Yup! Mine handles like that in heavy rainfall too. Obviously watch your speed in such inclement weather, and having GOOD TYRES with newish tread makes a major difference. I buy expensive Michelin LLR tyres for “The Spaceship” - they haven’t let me down in over 7 years yet iPhone 6s +
