I'll start this thread off with a few exterior shots.
    1)Euro Style Mud Flaps
I went with this style because I liked the coverage better. Also, once i get my stickers, similar to Godzuki's silver prius, i plan to put the side stickers low next to the mudflaps. I figured these would help keep them clean.

    2)Suntek CXP Carbon Tint
Although its not exactly legal, i went with 35% on the sides (front and rear) and 15% for the trunk. I just like the consistent look. We didn't tint the small window. Its actually tinted from the factory, and once the other tint went up, you can't see through it from the outside. Its also nice at night because its much easier to see through that window that the trunk window.

    3)Venture Shield / 3M clear bra
I have a mix of venture shield and 3m pieces. They were installed by a shop in Belmont CA. In the pic you can see the piece on the front fender. Basically everything to the left of the "line" is covered. They also through in some door edge guards and mirror protection.

    4)License plate frame and protector
These were like $10 each on amazon. I wanted something plain that came with a cover. Although you can't see it in the pics, there is a clear cover protecting the actual plate.

Whats up man, nice thread! I am thinking of some uv85 tint, other than that, I am keeping the outside mostly stock. I have been loving this car. I am on my first tank with over 900 miles and 2 bars of gas remaining.

Are those turned around dealer ads for your plates? Nice, I did that to mine the first week, I couldn't take that bright red. 20121013_141335.jpg 20121023_124219 (1).jpg

Thank for contributing fellow classic silver owners. Here are some additional pics
    1. Classic Soft Trim Leather Seats
I didn't think the "advance" version was worth the difference but i wanted leather seats. We paid around 1200 to have these seats installed. I'm pretty happy with the installation. It feels much more durable than the stock fabric. This "leather" is more textured than the stock "leather/soft tex". I would say it feels more like the "leather" seats in a vw, but minus the firmness. Its soft like a japanese car, but textured like a european car.

That interior looks really nice for $2100. Is it a kit? airbag compatible? I am thinking of doing something to protect the stock fabric, but not leather, something cloth or synthetic that a wet person could sit on without the water seeping through.

The Painted mudflaps look pretty awesome. Did you prime it before painting? My only concern would be that after a little while, the paint might start flaking/peeling off.

We were also looking at the dark grey, but with tinted windows it looked too dark. I wanted something with some contrast. I also like how the matte silver accents are more subtle on a silver car and not totally in your face like it is on the darker cars.

Sorry, it was $1200, total typo. Its air bag compatible. Installed by the dealer. Comes with a "lifetime" warranty, whatever that really means. I think only the center part is leather, the rest is leatherette. The dealer started at 1800, then went to 1400 then finally settled on 1200.

I agree than the 7" screen is a nice upgrade! I just couldn't justify spending the extra 5-6k more for the screen + LED headlights + HUD + softex. Maybe if that included a sunroof or something it would be a little more reasonable. Ultimately i'm just a cheapo. Enjoy the advanced!

Got my popup window shade this weekend. I ordered the Super Jumbo Size from amazon. I considered buying one of those custom cut insulated shades, but given the price difference i took a chance with one of these. The coverage is pretty good. I don't even have to use the sun shades to hold it in place.

I also spent the weekend installing some lighting. I got my Xenon Supply kit installed along with some LED parking lights. So far i'm pretty happy with the kit. HID's were part of the plan from day one since i didn't want to pay for "advanced" model. Xenon Supply has a video made for the prius which tells you exactly where to mount the ballasts.

The led doesn't match the HID. Given that the lens area near the LED is tinted blue, i think it'll be really difficult to find an exact match. I went with the 4300k because i wanted the most output.

Looks really nice. I couldn't get mine to match either. I would like to do HID's but I want to give my car hopefully a year before I do anything other than snap on, or simple plug and play, so I got some "premium" halogens and ultra white parking lights on impulse(see earlier post). You can legally have LED lights for the parking lots right? They only had orange and blue at the shop so I got gas bulbs, but might upgrade to some LEDs when I see white ones at a good price.

Next for me I think will be a Nexus 7 tablet, OBD2 bluetooth scanner, and custom PID gauges.

or a UV window tint, 85 or 70 max. I feel like I am getting sunburned through the windows, so hopefully I can relieve that.

Nice lights, I'm jealous of all you with your HID's

    Hi Adam,
The HIDs are essentially plug and play. Aside from contorting your wrist in some strange angles, its pretty simple to install. Check out the video at Xenon supply, it'll install the confidence you need. I've installed aftermarket HID's in all our cars, it makes a big difference. Keep in mind, the bluer the output you go (higher kelvin), the less actual output you'll get. If you did find a color that matched the LEDs, i'm sure the lumens would be reduced drastically.

Regarding the LEDs, i bought an entire kit (2010-12 Toyota Prius Complete 326-Lights LED Interior Light Package)
I'm still in the process of installing the interior kit, but so far so good. I assume LED parking lights are legal, i've never heard that they weren't. Aftermarket HID, thats a different issue. I'm pretty sure those aren't legal.

Yea, I heard the HID's had to be done right(more $) to be legal, I wouldn't do an illegal kit. Driving record can't afford much of anything else, and I have had amazing luck when pulled over in my totally stock 2008. Rockerdan mentioned something about making the HID's legal in his thread, maybe at a later date.
