I'm shopping for a used 2010 and prices vary wildly. Some sellers are near KBB and some are not. Some even approach MSRP of new vehicles. If you bought a new prius recently, please let me know what you paid, which package (II, III, etc) and how many miles.
2010 Blizzard Pearl Prius III, upgraded Leather, Non-Nav Backup Camera, and JBL Bluetooth, 62K, one owner, carfax is showing every service completed at the dealership like clockwork. The car was also certified pre-owned and comes with a 1 year, 12K warranty. Paid 15500 OTD at Toyota of Knoxville in Knoxville, TN Was a better deal than any Toyota dealership within 250 miles. I traded a 2005 Toyota Tacoma that was immaculate (high mileage though) and the sales managers were practically falling over themselves to get their hands on it.
Wthermans, what was the sticker price? Is it possible to get such a deal in LA, where I reside? Looking forward to responses because I'm also looking for a used 2010+ Prius II. The closest Toyota here (Valencia) has only CPOs with sticker prices of $24k with 49k, and two priced at $22k with 48k and 45k. They still have a lot of 2012s but I'm trying to stick with <20k budget.
Every dealer and most private parties are asking over $20k even for Prius IIs. Plus at a dealer you have to pay all the fees and taxes.
Their sticker was 17,100. Unsure about LA, I doubt it though (if you mean Los Angeles and not Louisiana). They had another 2010 (V that was fully loaded) with 65k that they were wanting 20,100 for. I'm in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains so trucks are more sought after than hybrids. Sometimes demand will increase when gas spikes, but we're at 3.14/gal right now and everyone is conditioned to the low 3s and see no need for more efficiency.
Go on auto trader and search for thousand oaks area. I talked to a guy a couple days ago with a 2010 for sale with 14k miles for 19000$. Car looked like it was in great condition. Edit: this is Los Angeles area, not Louisiana Nexus 7 ? 2
I picked up a 2010 IV Blizzard Pearl, JBL stereo, heated leather seats, with 41k miles in June, it was listed at $25,000. I got out the door for $23000 which included sales tax and dealer fees/charges.
Just got a white 2010 Prius 4 Solar, JBL Nav, leather, heated seats with 34K miles for $20K. Excellent shape to boot. I live in S. Texas but bought car in Louisiana.
I'm not sure, I didn't see it in person but did think for a second of replacing our XB but I don't know if we need 2 Priuses in the family and it's nice to have the XB to pick up larger things.
I am considering 2010 Prius IV (leather, NAV, JBL premium sound, rear view cam, alloy wheels) under 30k miles for $22500 from private party. This is in SoCal. Is this a good deal?
WOW! Now that was an excellent deal! I traded my paid for 2007 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner that had 79k miles on it for a used 2010 Prius II with 10,500 miles as an even trade. (No monthly payments) Savings in gas is all I was looking for, went from 18mpg average to 51+ mpgs now. Couldn't be happier.
Just received my Toyota Certified 2010 Prius II from Mobile, AL >> SLC, UT with 78k on it which I purchased for $15k out the door. Black, Nav, JBL, BT, new tires; beautiful inside and out.
