I test drove it. Fine. Drove it home fine. After 500 miles, rattles like an old Ford. Anyone else have this problem?
2010 II, 54,000 miles, pretty tight so far, a few squeaks from the console, they all do that, no rattles. My 97 " FORD" F150 with 266,000 miles on it is rattle free,honest..
Make sure you don't have a loose hard item in the center console and that the cargo area storage hatch is locked and free of loose hard items. Things rattle when the are touching the plastic. Mine is rattle free at 26k miles.
Our 2010 Prius rattles a lot on rough roads. Quiet as a mouse on smooth roads. I think it's something in the dash behind the steering wheel. It's annoying but not bad enough to do anything about. My old Ford didn't rattle.
Welcome to the forum. 16k miles & still rattle free. Take it back to the dealer & have them go on a ride with u.
Congrats--enjoy. Yes, these cars have very noisy interiors (squeaks & rattles, and exterior noise transmission). Gets worse when the temps drop. The noisiest interior--by far--of any car I've owned.
My car drives stone quiet, but mine was built in the rattle free factory There are three Prius factories. Two that build rattle cars and one that doesn't. Mike
+1 the only rattles I get are when I have my phone or soda can/bottle in the cup holder or other parts of the interior panels and are vibrating against it. The plastics used in the interior don't really absorb any type of shock well.
