    What kind of headlight bulbs do I need for a 2012 Prius C 2? I just want to upgrade to something brighter like silverstars.

    It says 9704 in the manual. Is that correct?

    Are these significantly brighter than the stock? I have been thinking of changing out the bulbs on my C3 as well.

    Here is my upgrade with silverstar zXe's on the passenger side. Also have ultra white parking light on that side.

    The car comes with silverstars already, so not a huge difference. pic attached. 20121101_191942_HDR.jpg

    hids will give you the biggest improvement.

    Should just be bulb and ballast. Most companies can fit your needs.

    the C has decent projectors. you can just get the hid kit and install.

    My C2 bulbs are H11 HB2 low beam and 9005 HB3 high beams. By regulation our bulbs are limited to 55 watts (4.58 amps at 12 vdc) but there are bulbs all the way to 100 watts and of course are much brighter. We have a couple of moderate increased watt bulbs to test.
    BTW the aiming 'screw' on the passenger side is: clockwise with a phillips raises the height of the aim. We found increasing by about 20 'clicks' or notches on the aiming screw was a big help in seeing at night on low and high beams. Apparently there is no lateral aiming screw.

    HID is the best thing I ever did. Kit from Xenon supply, installed in 30 min. Cant imagine driving without HID now.
