Because you're also going to be looking for new tires, America's Tire/Discount Tire may be a good place to start.

I think this is the first annoucement of what will be offered for the 2013 line. Any other new colors? Any annoucement of new interior features?

These wheels have an anthracite-like coating instead of the light silver color that comes on the Five. Other than that they are they same.

Gack! Ugly purple car with some cheesy bling. Toyota could use some non-zombie colors like a real red or yellow and some wanted features like proximity alarm, decent alloy wheels, turn signals in mirrors, power seats.

Agreed... this would be my "second choice" only if offered with the features I got with mine a 4 with the solar roof package)... unless I am reading what it has offered incorrectly. The Softex without heated seats if I read another post correctly is not what I had in mind.

But, still a Prius and my favorite car so far... (don't tell my truck that...).

The rims are the same as what comes with the Prius 5.

Nice job, Danny: Better photos than i could find on half a dozen car mag & car site links.

I'd ditto ProximalSuns' comment re: turn signals in mirrors. Toyota loads on airbags, which is a good thing, but declines a fairly inexpensive addition that might prevent some of the accidents the airbags are intended to protect us in.

I've got a 2010 III with the premium nav and 17" Konig Zero-Ins. I've been toying with buying a used 2012 with sunroof. But when I read about the Persona I was ready to advance to buying a new one. I'd add premium nav to it, and look into what it takes to get HUD.

Unfortunately, black and white are non-starters and the purple "black cherry" is a disappointment (mine's a Barcelona Red, as is the used 2012). Color prefs are subjective, obviously, and my pref is pretty strong.

Does Toyota ever charge extra to order a different color? (Porsche had that kind of option when I bought my Boxster) --that is, any chance the Persona could be bought in Barcelona Red instead? I'm not familiar enough with how Toyota does business.

And btw, any confirmation whether the leather seats are heated? Or power? Two things the factory leather usually includes, if i'm not mistaken. I hope they haven't gone half-assed...

Thanks again for the post and pix.

    What!....No mohair seats!

Honestly, who buys Prius for looks? Before I had Prius I actually almost never noticed them on the road. Now I have Prius, I notice a bunch of them. The all look more or less same to me. Now the look part is out of the equation, I think I will be happy with my 50MPG cars for many years to come.

I did the second time around. I actually really like the look of the GenIII, particularly the 2012. With 17" wheels the car is quite good looking when you compare it to most of the cars around it in a parking lot. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I smile every time I walk up to my car. That's all that matters. :) image.jpg

I like the darker chrome paint for the interior pieces as it's a little more subtle than bright silver (one reason why I like the 2004-2005 Gen 2 models because they have a satin-like accent rather than the bright silver on the 2006-2009 model years)

Like this new addition to the Prius family.... Glad though it wasn't available when I bought mine - would have spent more than I had wanted. :)
