I don't know if this is in the right forum for sure but... The good news is I sold my 08 Prius today. That's good because I sold it privately and made more on it than I would have by trading it in. It took less than 2 weeks which is good considering I live in 4x4 country. There are a few Prii around town but you can't throw a rock without hitting a pickup. The bad news is my dealer said my 2013 PHV Prius hasn't been built yet. It's still scheduled for an October production but it'll take a least a month after that to get it. C'mon already, I ordered it back in July!! If it wasn't so much work, I might just go a bit south to the US and drive one back! In the mean time I need to drive one of my two gas guzzlers. That will be a big adjustment! My truck consumes about 3x the gas my Prius did. Oh well, I'll make up for that by driving on pure EV when I get my car LOL
Why not get one of the 2012 deals. I've read that there are no changes in the 2013 including price so you might save?
I searched across the country, there is only one PIP/PHV for sale on autotrader. It's not the color I want so I'll just wait a little longer. But now that I'm without a Prius I'm getting more impatient LOL.
True, I think I lucked-out at my dealer with several 2012's to pick from but only one Base in Clearwater Blue...which I promptly leased.
Where in Canada are you? Tons of them in Syracuse, NY area, and I'm sure Buffalo/Rochester has a good selection as well.
My understanding is you can't or at least not easily/without penalty import a NEW vehicle into Canada.
a lot of us feel your pain swanny, we ordered last fall and had to wait 4-8 months. what a feeling when you pick it up tho, it's like Christmas! good to hear you sold your 08 for a good price, all the best!
I miss my car already :-( my other car idles at red lights, boo. And it's a V8... Not the best as a daily driver LOL
