Just increasing my post count on a Friday. I usually don't complain about stuff I can fix. Aside from the dead pedal / foot rest, I also added a sunglass holder. Check out my DIY post:

Don't know if I've already griped about it, but the OEM bluetooth handsfree software needs to go. Toyota (and many others) need to license this from Parrot. Even Alpine Electronics licenses it from Parrot:

    Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.

"Three of the four products feature Bluetooth wireless technology modules powered by Parrot."

It's one of those things that once you've had it, you can't imagine not living without it. I find the Toyota/Lexus handsfree barely usable. In fact, I'd prefer for them not being there, so then I can install my own (from Parrot). Since the car comes with something, I can't bring myself to putting in something aftermarket. It would seem tacky.

Has nothing to do with your post but just noticed this. How in the bleeped bleep bleep are you getting better mileage with your ct200h than the C?

The wife drives the C. I'm going to trade cars with her soon for a few weeks to see what I can do with the C. From my time behind the C... the C is quicker.

tk, can you tell me what's wrong with the Bluetooth? The system in my PHV seems to work wonderfully with my iPhone 4S…

Since taking delivery of mine, I've bought Toyota's rubber floor ate, but don't recommend as the Driver's is way too short in my opinion. I agree that I would have preferred these in the first place. Check out other options brand like Weathertech's is my suggestion.

No phonebook sync and multiple button presses required for a single function.

Have you used a Parrot bluetooth kit? It's able to sync with every phone that I've ever had in the last decade. This includes the phonebook. As soon as you start the car, both the phone and phonebook synchs up. Just a single button press, and it asks "Please say a command". Without any more button pushes, I just say "Call XXX mobile" (can also be XXX home or work, whatever is stored on your phone for each contact). Then the Parrot would confirm the voice recognition by asking "Did you say XXX mobile?" Say "Yes", then it dials.

Like I stated earlier... it's one of those things that if you've had it, you'd miss it.

Actually, I'm pretty sure those things work with my 4S. I haven't used the phone book, but the recents call list works perfectly and shows contact names etc. Haven't tried voice commands yet, but my skimming of the manual suggests that this should also work as you describe.
I have a good amount of Russian contacts, however, so voice dialing is not fully useful to me.
My main gripe with the BT system at this point is that it has no way to engage the voice dialing that's on the phone, rather than in the car. So if I want to use Siri, I need to activate it using my phone, not using the car. That's a feature that works with $30 BT headsets, so that is a bit of a letdown.

Entune could be a lot better. Traffic takes forever to load and then doesn't always show on the map. Do you really think I am gonna scroll through 10 pages of incidents? I just want red, yellow, green. Also, I wish it would reroute based on traffic and the fastest route. When I say, "Call Mark" it lists all the phone numbers I have for him, but it always puts them in a different order so I have to look at the screen to see which line number it came up under this time. I wish it would remember where I was in my audiobook if I took a break to listen to music, this might be an ipod problem though.

I would like cruising range on the ECO score screen maybe, granted I only really care when my last gas light starts blinking... oops...

For the History screen, the scale is way off, it shows from 0-100 I think. Do you think I am gonna average 0 or 100?? No, it is only going to be from maybe 40-70 so I can't really compare different months because it looks the same. The exact number should show up so I can see 52.1 vs. 53.3.

It would have been nice to have Green as a color option!

Well, here's one tiny complaint (as I love my C and have over 3,000 miles on it now). Twice I have had a warning light appear indicating a car with wavy lines underneath. The light flashed for just a few seconds but scared the #*$*O@ out of me. Checked the manual which indicated that the car should be brought in immediately as it could be a serious problem but also stated that if the light did not stay on, not to worry. After checking the Prius tech section of this forum I discovered that if you press the pedal down too much it will turn on the "hill assist" feature which actually keeps the brakes on. Both times I had this happen, I was driving extremely slow and gradually braking to stop at a signal on flat ground. Perhaps after stopping I pressed down a bit more and set it off, don't know for sure but can say that I didn't really feel like I was stomping down the brake. I think the "hill assist" feature is something I could definitely live without. Otherwise, the only other necessity I would like is extensions on the sun visors both inside towards the center of the windshield and outside when putting the visor along the side window. But, I have to say that driving this car is a blast!

That, I believe, is not only the icon for hill start assist, but also for traction control. So TC400, it makes more sense in your scenario than Archaeo's. You really do have to press rather hard to do hill start assist, so if I were you (Archaeo), I might bring it up at your next maintenance appointment and see what they think.

Thanks, sounds like the pedal is a little too touchy perhaps! Don't know but if it continues I will definitely have it checked. Sometimes those engineers give us more than we really need on these new cars such as those that parallel park.

One major irritant is having to reinsert the key and turn on the ignition in order to put the windows up when you forget when parking. Even a temporary override power button would be acceptable.

There should be an icon to indicate when the ICE is on or off. My "Ultra-Gage" has taken care of this (Tach).

On the Eco Score screen the little green EV car comes on whenever the ICE is off.

Wanted to mention this for others, for those that complain about a leather wrapped steering steel, you might want to consider getting wheelskins for your steering wheel, they cost under $50 and look and hold up really well. The downside is that it takes a good hour to do the lacing. They don't offer it yet for the prius c but I imagine they will soon. I got one for my 03 matrix and had it on for the past couple of years at least and I love mine.

They do have one that fits the C. I've had mine since July. It's the first one I've purchased from them and I really like it.

Well for me the clearesr, easiest answer is the Navigation. Lets not start with the Glare from the sun causing me to see a black screen while trying to read the microscopic lettering hoping that the street line is labeled.

I've seen this as well while descending a steep hill with a lot of curves. Vehicle Stability Control doing its thing.
