Finally I got on this list. And I got it exact, I should get bonus points for that. ;)

Great going. If you get bonus points, it won't be exact then. It's a catch 22.

The CDN Prius C can be switched to MPH but the trip meter and economy still read in litres.

    Let's see... 3.785 L = 1 gal
    So I would need to snap a photo when my (L / 100 km) * trip meter = 378.5

Kind of hard to do the mental math while driving :)

Went 20 miles on 1 gallon, averaging 97.5 mpg. Of course 16 miles of it was all downhill grade.

How much elevation change from start to finish, and where did you find a downhill grade of 50-ish miles or more?

John you must have a commute mileage that is in that small window where a Volt is best. Those are some great numbers.

Downhill pass was about 16 miles, the rest was city miles but continued on a downward slant. So, stop and go and continuous rolling downhill. Surprising. Will have to get a photo of the eco meter next time.

I have a 22 mile drive in. I don't think 40-50 miles is such a small window, seems to be a big window for Americans.

I'm simply saying the window for commute mileage for the Volt to be the best choice is from about 15-50 miles. And that is considering you virtually never take a long road trip in it.

Love the idea of the Volt, just too high of a price for me. The Prius Plug in is interesting but also too high priced, but we go over 70 miles round trip just to get to a Costco for groceries.

Sorry, my post earlier was a bit brief, I unexpectantly had to play cowboy today and round up some cattle that got into the neighboring ranch. BBQ tonight.

The long trips are not so bad. It is a pretty comfortable ride and the Volt road warriors get in the mid to high 40s in CS mode. I don't use the ICE long enough to get a decent CS mode mpg. There are some debates about where the tipping point is between the PiP, the Volt, and the Prii. I think the border between the Volt and Prii is somewhere around a 120 mile trip, 2 gallons burned on both (assuming a more normal 60mpg for the Prii :) )

I think there is a restriction about professionals trying to crash into amateur league competition.

Did 81mpg on a 14 mile trip on mostly flat road. Traveling about 35-40mph.

Also, put a little more air on your tires. I have them at 41psi. Max is 44psi, but not recommended. 81mpg is my best so far. Hypermiling of course, looking ahead for lights and running at mainly 35mph max 40mph. Slightly breaking. I had a passenger on, im sure I could do better on my own, I'm a 225 pound male, I could imagine if a person is smaller the they could probably push close to 100mpg.

Uncle Wayne is a pretty big guy (I'm guessing over 200) and he is one of the best hypermilers in America.

Not as good as everyone else, but this is my first day commuting in my new PC3. This was done during rush hour from work to home. I ended up at 67MPG over 100 miles. Average fuel cost 3.85 from Santa Monica to San Diego:)
