I've decided I want less roll when cornering, so it's time to install a rear sway bar. The question is; which one? I know besides OEM, there are other versions. Which one is best? I believe OEM is about $250. Is there another one that performs just as well, but is less expensive? - TP
Well I don't see where PM is an option (maybe I am missing something), but I am interested in one if you know of a great deal on one. - TP
I think the Rude person's equivalent of a center chassis brace offers far more value. Tanabe and Cusco makes them.
I have a used (10,000 miles but looks brand new, not a scratch) Cusco rear sway bar that came off my 2011 Prius. Wife didn't like the ride comfort. $125 + shipping.
Texas-Prius, Hey, I didn't intend to hi-jack your thread with "my sale" ($125 for a $290 item? really?) so let me give you my impressions of the Cusco. Easy install. It does NOT have rubber bushings that fit into your rear axle that can/will squeak after awhile. You will feel the difference with the Cusco. The car turns in considerably sharper, has less body lean and it does ride more firm in the rear and you will notice. It does seem to considerably lessen the effect of sidewinds. If your local roads are in bad condition, a rear sway will intensify this ride somewhat and it was too intense for this 59 year old guy. But, hey, at that price, really? My zip code is: 93551 in Palmdale, CA. By the way, the shipping to Marina, CA would be about 45 and to Austin 75 via the Postal Service. I'm doing no more distance/cost searches. Now, where is that guy from Palmdale? He better jump and save me the effort of boxing and labeling
