This thread has nothing to do with Dealers nor Autotrader, so please only post information relative to your purchase. The dealership is irrelevant, but feel free to post any information you find important to this thread. I am also looking into buying a plug in this week, getting very conflicting information from dealers here in New York. One dealer I called today lied about the rebate being offered in New York, he said there were no rebates at present even though the Toyota site shows a significant rebate, another dealer lied that it was only on lease! This is just ridiculous, Any response to this thread would be great.
Right now, TFS is offering 0% financing and $3500 rebate to help clear these out. They are also offering the $3500 as lease cash with almost 0 money factor.
If the discount/deal makes it worth a trip, I would drive my trade-in/fly/go-by-bus, etc. and drive the new car home. Did just that when I bought my '06, and that was a 400 mile trip home. Yours would be what, about 260 miles? Go for it, and then tell your local dealers why you didn't buy from them!

i paid $500. less than msrp i think msrp was $32,000.00 delivery was around $720. mats were $250.? base model
Sales prices typically vary by location. Your credit union may be able to assist with buying info advice. PenFed provides a link to TrueCar pricing database. For Costa Mesa and standard equipped PIP, here's the latest data for that area... They also show Advanced PIP sales with higher MSRP, but you'd need to generate a chart for that.. I just purchased my PiP Base model yesterday. Ex Alameda County ,California. Total out the door including carpet is $ 32,350. That is including 1500 rebate from Toyota and 0% APR deal. Unfortunately they do not have $ 3000 in California . Here it is only $ 1500.
Did they tell you about the additional $1500 rebate you can get from the California Center for Sustainable Energy? Contact them at (858) 634-4740 or [email protected] The last I read on these boards, they still had funds available. Also, consult your tax professional regarding a $2500 credit for buying a plug-in hybrid when you file your federal return for 2012. Makes the deal even sweeter!

Base plug-in with mats, not counting tax/license, not counting 2500 fed tax credit, counting 3500 cash back from Toyota, 0% 60 mos. financing = 27,700 including delivery charges in Massachusetts.
wicked I am sure there is quite a range state to state and month to month. Hopefully more folks will feel comfortable sharing .
In case the OP isn't familiar with the program, Toyota offered online ordering late last year in which buyers selected the model, color and equipment they wanted, along with a dealer to handle delivery. Those pre-ordered cars began arriving in the rollout states around the end of February. With some exceptions, I think most of those buyers paid around MSRP less $500. There were dealers certified by Prius Chat who agreed to that pricing and also agreed not to try to pad their deals with add-ons like some dealers are wont to do. With the online ordering, the buyer was in control, and could change to another dealer if they felt they weren't being treated properly. As I said in an earlier post about this subject, we early adopters didn't benefit from the kinds of incentives that are in play now. But you can take the MSRP of either model and knock off $500, and you'll have what we paid, in general.
