For me choosing between trim 1 and 2 was easy, 1 never had a chance with the one tone seat material, no cruise or 60/40 backseats. However, trims 2 and 3 had me back and forth. Nav wasn't important to me because my phone has a stellar navigation program and a nice sized screen (gs3) 8 speakers over 6 is of course nicer but wasn't a deal breaker. Moonroof would be great too but with the added cost it was never even in the running. So that really left the keyless entry and push button start. In the end it is a luxury item and not a necessity so I went with the 2. I have been thinking about it and don't regret my decision( well over $1000) but I have been thinking that these cars are so high tech, it almost seems an injustice to start them like a normal ice car. So I wanted to see how expensive it would be to just upgrade the entry/PBS and found this. Advanced Keys - AK-104B Smart Key with Push Start System Anyone here install one of these, the website makes it look pretty nice. NFC backup ( and the current credit card sized backups) is/are a really cool function that may come soon too which would be super cool.

I may be the guinea pig on this but it will take some more research ( and I still have to take delivery of my car!)

that is cool! what a great idea. i wonder what installation is like? i like the idea of having the doors unlock automatically instead of having to touch the handle.

I'll update once I hear from the company, as far as I know, it should work but we will see.

The company got back to me today and said it should work, they have seen them installed seamlessly on other Prii but no one has tried yet on the C. I may be the first, pickup tomorrow. Anyone know a competent installer in NYC?

Hopeing this works. I'd love push button start and keyless entry on my C1 for $350.

This looks promising. I am with everyone else and did not upgrade to the PC3 as a result of not being able to justify the upgrades for the price.

Exactly. I couldn't even justify the Two. Honestly I don't think I miss anything the Two has that the One does not. But there definitly are some things the Three has I'd like, but not for the almost 3k difference in price. Hopefully this keyless entry and puch start works, then maybe a stereo upgrade is next.

Push start and keyless entry($350) purchased, also added the auto window and sunroof (not applicable to me) closing module ($35), the push button mount ($20) and the 3m black keyhole cover (5$) Shipping was $20 and there was no sales tax here in NY. Total price charged to my CC was $430. Will update on install once I get it. Again, if anyone has any auto installers they recommend in NYC, I am all ears.

Yes, Bisco. The rep from advanced keys said that the install could be done by anyone capable of installing an auto starter. The thing they would need is the wiring information/diagram (not sure what to call it) from the Prius C, that is what I am searching for now, if anyone has any help with that I would appreciate it. I know there is a site that you can pay 15$ for but I am trying to find it without paying more $ if I don't have to.

Update? I specifically chose the 2 over the 3/4 to stay away from entune but I would like the keyless start. Keep us posted.

Update, received the package, looks pretty cool. Brought it to one place and they wanted 400$ to install (this place has shitty ratings online and is a ripoff but I wanted a baseline). I have another place where I will get a 3m clear bra for the bumpers, tinted windows and install of the keyless/remote for about 600-700. That is the way I am leaning now. Will let you know asap. Also, I forgot to mention, the mount and the 3m adhesive were both included in the package so I only paid 405$ after my cc gets the credit. :)

Thanks. Let us know what you feel you are paying for the keyless install. We have a place that installed our heated leather seats that I plan to check with on this install.

It's going in for the install tomorrow. This will be the first one on a prius c from advanced keys. Not sure if there are any other companies but I cannot find anyone on prius chat or some other forums who have done it. Will update with a video tomorrow.
