We have a 2012 Prius Four with the moonroof/solar package and the 7" HDD navigation system. My wife and I have the following iOS devices: iPhone 4 (iOS 5.1.1), iPhone 4S (iOS 6 beta) & a new iPad w/LTE (iOS 6 beta). None of these devices have the tethering option on their cellular plans. All three devices have cellular service with AT&T. All three of these devices have been paired via Bluetooth. None of these devices have ever been connected via USB. All three of these devices work 100% with Entune via Bluetooth. If anyone has any questions or wants more details, please let me know. BTW: I keep our 160GB iPod Classic in the armrest connected via the USB connection. The iPod interface works pretty well and shows the album artwork on the HDD display.
As noted on the other thread on this topic, your iPhones work without USB only because you have the HDD system. With the Display Audio system, the iPhone needs the USB connection for Entune to work. Here's Toyota's page on the two systems, which clearly describes the difference.
Right. That's why I included all my specific details - to be clear about what config/options work for me.
Does anyone notice a improved sound quality when changing iphone from blue tooth to USB? It seems like there is more power and fuller sound
I have a Prius v Five (without the Advanced Technology Package) and our iPhones connect to Entune via Bluetooth.
