Due to the expansion of our family, housework and the desire to be more comfortable, my wife and I decided it is time to get rid of our beloved 2010 Prius II. We bought the car in June or July of 2009 new and we put 74K miles on it. Car was literally trouble free with the exception of some minor design and user error. I hope I won't regret this decision as we absolutely love the vehicle. It's just the car is getting too small and I am not willing to give up my two seater, so it will probably be gone by next Saturday :(

I wanted to buy a Prius V, but just couldn't do it.

I will have the following for sale once we pick up the new car.

    Brand new OEM air filter
Brand new OEM wiper blade insert refills on all 3 blades
    Brand new TRD oil filter
Curt hitch, used a few times
Rear taillight plug in wiring harness
    New oil filter cartridge cap

Sorry to hear that we're losing you, but at least you'll leave knowing that Prius resale values are fantastic.

I paid about $24K at the time (one of the first one to hit the US sh0re). In current condition, I got almost 12.7 for it. Car is in good condition, but some small scratches and some nut damage. It's not great, but not bad given the mileage i guess

Private party value of your car was $16-17K, and average trade value was $14-15K. Did you trade it?

Sorry to hear you are having to give up your Prius but fully understand your needs have changed. Good luck and stay in touch.

Got a Lexus RX450h. I was going to wait another year and get a gas RX350 and keep the Prius, but my driveway situation makes it tough for me to keep three cars

I traded it in. I couldn't get those numbers given they are retailing hte car for 15K in my market.

We don't make the big bucks like you guys in California. It's hard to sell for more than what dealer is charging.

The RXh is a very good choice. Be sure to stop by at ClubLexus . I'm Caddyowner over there.

My mom's beloved cube ended up taking the bullet and was traded in in place of the Prius one day before. Picked up the Lexus, the hybrid feels different compare to the prius

I'm sorry to see you go but the change is totally understandable. If I didn't have to commute so far I'd go with this. I fell in love after the first test drive. Power, fuel economy, good looks AND AWD!

My mom was able to get 32mpg in her CVT Cube, I bet she will clear 49 in the Prius easily.

I am averaging 26mpg driving the way I drive the Prius in 200 miles so far in the RX

50% drop in value in 3 years. Buying used may be a wise choice.

Buying used is always a better choice. Do I want to do it? No
