I'm curious, AFAIK, hydrogen shouldn't help a carburated engine.

Water injection can help, but that is on higher performance engines, not a vega.

There is at least one exception to that. I had an Edelbrock water injection system on my 1972 Dodge pickup with camper. It was sophisticated for the time. Water flow was a function of engine RPM and manifold pressure. It didn't start until shooting water until manifold pressure got high enough (near atmospheric) to indicate I had my foot in it. I used it to be able to burn regular gas in an engine designed for premium and it worked pretty well for that. IIRC, in normal driving with camper and some hilly country I would go through a gallon of water for about every 25-30 gallons of gas. It didn't provide any extra power or direct fuel economy improvements but did allow me to run regular under high loads without pinging. That was when regular gas was around 30 cents/gallon:)

I do agree that the HHO crap is a hoax.

I've updated with a video in original post demonstrating the fuel cell.

Well that demonstration is just total utter nonsense ... how does exactly he remove "protons" ???Man that is alchemy !!! You can not remove protons with electro/chemical reaction that is just not possible even for non-technical folks this should have been covered in any decent high-school physics class.

And then the rumbling about only in real driving the saving could be shown not controlled EPA experiment .. of course because that would show that everything is the same turn on the "whatever" device and nothing happens.

He doesn't even provide a simple theory why this should work, except those exploding bubbles. We did this in science class in 5-6th grade ... again this is magician bullshit ... he could have shown equal amount of gasoline gas would blow his hand off probably (gasoline air vapor .. currently used in military as thermobaric weapons..)

Sorry dtraveler but this video will no win any more sympathies here ...most people here like facts, scientific explanations, repeatable experiments etc ... this made your case even weaker... if you can you should return this and get your money back ... as I shown you with numbers EVEN IF your claimed mpg gain were true, you GROSSLY overpaid .....

    Relax, proton = hydrogen nucleus.

    as for the "fuel cell"

I know what proton is ... and also know that you can not remove a proton from a nuclei so what he was saying is just gibberish ... with simple chemical reaction you can not produce free protons (hydrogen minus the electron). As a matter of fact if you create proton(s) (well cosmic ray is mostly that which is in vacuum) it will very quickly find an electron and become H atom which is very reactive will not be good for any material but if you created so much proton this H atoms will find EACH other and quickly become H2 and you have hydrogen gas which surprise surprise will burn... in present of oxygen .... that what he was demonstrating .. he was creating ""knell-gas" or whatever it is called ... (science lab 5th grade)

So again let me repeat removing a proton from anything by electro/chemical reaction is not possible (you can create free proton in plasma or by radioctive decay sure but this is something we saw I think here with a 12V energy source)

These inventors are taking advantage of gullible people with dubious scientific background (some even proud not being "technical")... putting forward some confusing gibberish. Hope IRS and FTC goes after them

OP, seek refund and keep your money for the "extra" fuel .. he wants YOU to buy another one so your MPG goes to 70 ... and then the third one will allow you to drive without fuel I assume because the device alone will give almost 30 mpg ...

"De-Protonated Hydrogen" (yes, he actually uses those words)

That would be Hydrogen with the proton in the nucleus removed, yes? In other words, an Electron, as Hydrogen is one Proton, and one Electron.

Let me explain in simple terms so everyone can understand. The liquid is plasma. He is saying that H2O is broken down where the O is taken out. The O stays in the plasma and sinks down and will attach later. If O is ever released, the liquid will evaporate into my engine creating steam, which it does not. The O stays. The bubbles you see is the H+ being released. Pure hydrogen. He demonstrates that by burning those bubbles. That is what augments the gasoline. I'm considering putting on another one to definitely show everyone that hydrogen works. He claims to give me another 5-10 mpg. So I'll put up a video showing 70mpg going 70mph.

    Please ..... gibberiesh again

O stays ?? where?? what plasma ?? O doesn't stay O is in the gas he was burning up .. knell gas

But just ask yourself O stays how long forever ??? what happens really to the O come on.

Man you are taken for your money please do not buy another one device from this guy he is cheating you out of your money...

what school did you go ??? this is so sad... something must be done to schools in the US otherwise we are lost ...

these "inventors" are doing this to people for decades you just happened to be a prius owner ....

And you added what ?? At least you could have had an opinion on the hydrogen fuel cell right ?????

    But thanks.

Who needs elaborate electrolysis when I can just mine for hydrogen from the ground? I wonder what kind of drugs was Clausius on when he came up with the first law of thermodynamics. This question is directed to the individual who started the thread - what kind of MPG am I looking at if I add sodium bicarbonate or hydrogen peroxide?

Not this old chestnut again :ROFLMAO:

The phrase one born every minute springs to mind. But saying that, I do have a plot of land of Jupiter I can let you have. Or maybe you want to buy my invisibility cloak - once I find where I put it. Or maybe the op gets a lot of emails saying he's won the Nigerian lottery and has to send a cheque for $5,000 to pay the taxes upfront before they sent him his $10m.

lol lol lol. This thread cheered me up. Sorry op.

Well he seem to hell bent to buy another one after this live demonstration giving him 70 mpg ... never mind, physics, facts, thermodynamics, actual tests or any other "technical stuff" go liberal art !!!

I understand those terms, (though I suspect you don't). But the way you have put them together makes no sense. Liquid and Plasma are two different states of matter, can't be both at the same time. Hydrogen plasma is extremely hot (Oxygen plasma as well). H+ kept inside bubbles? Of what? How? At atmospheric pressure? If it was hydrogen and oxygen gas (H2 and O2) he would get exactly that reaction burning the bubbles. If it was plasma it would be burning down his garage. And even if ALL this made sense it still would not be providing more energy than was used to create it.
