GenIII Prius Custom PIDs for Torque app

I could be wrong but I believe so. Just spend the $5 for the app, it is well worth it.

 

I tried the Free version and gave up, I was only able to add predefined list (I think 2) that were already in the app. I just bought the pro version, free version is good to test your OBD connection, nothing more.

 

You won't be disappointed.

Anyone know how to get the graphic overlays while doing a video to stay there when I play back?

 

What are you using for playback? Dials work when played back in-app but wont if you use the media apps on the phone. You can permanently embed the dials using the developers' plugin found on the torque-bhp wiki page. That will allow you to upload to youtube or share video outside of the app.

Alright, I downloaded everything I need but when I get to the "Encoding video..." window, it just stays there and doesn't do anything. It just says Starting encode.... at the bottom. Any ideas?

 

I've actually haven't tried the encoding process yet. Not enough time lately to sit down and give it a go, but it's on my to-do list.

 

Got a new phone...Galaxy Nexus. When I plug it in to my computer this is all I see (even when I show hidden files). Tried making a new folder and putting the csv file in it but still no luck. Any ideas?

 

i guess i don't totally understand where you're stuck at. assuming that you have torque installed on your new phone as well as the Track Recorder plugin, and you've recorded a video using the Track Recorder plugin, it looks like you're missing folders on your SD card.

on my HTC Thunderbolt there are 3 folders at the root directory of the SD card for the Torque app:

.torque
torqueLogs
torqueRecorder

I don't see any of those on your screen shot above. The video file and the torque logs for the video should be stored in the torqueRecorder folder. torqueLogs and torqueRecorder are not hidden folders, although .torque is (at least on my phone - haven't plugged mine into my computer in a long time).

Sorry, I should have specified, this is a new phone and totally unrelated to my earlier posts about trying to record video. The Galaxy Nexus doesn't have an SD card. I think that is where my problem lies.

 

You can browse folders on your phone, move files to a location that is seen on your PC and transfer them.

 

I could do that on my last Android but I'm having a little trouble figuring out how to do that with the Galaxy Nexus.

 

Basically I need to talk to someone else that has a Galaxy Nexus or is familiar with a GN. They seem to be a bit different than most other Androids.

 

I have Galaxy S3, it also has internal storage shown as SD card, enable show hidden files in menu of the explorer (My Files), then you see all folders, move your files to location that you see on the PC. If you still have problems try using Total Commander.

 

Ok, got it figured out. The Jelly Bean update actually took care of the problem for me.

Now that I have that figured out, the next problem is what to put in the various fields for the vehicle profile.

Hey SmellyTofu, I think I may be having the same trouble as you, however I'm not having any luck. I was able to get the first set of pid's to come up on my phone, but am unable to get the add list of pid's to show. Any ideas. Thanks
