Quick question regarding the Prius v 5. Since the 5 has 17" rims and comes standard with 215/50R17s what is the largest increase in tire size that will still fit the v5? 60? 65?70?
    Thanks for your response.

I am assuming you want a wider tire. If you want a taller tire, I am no help.

You have 17 × 7J rims so you want a tire that fits on a 7 inch rim.

225/50R17 will be 1.5% too slow and fits a 6 to 8 inch rims.

225/45R17 will be 2% too fast and fits 7 to 8.5 inch rims.

No idea if they fit in the wheel well.

This is a handy tool: Tire size calculator
This site is a little finicky sometimes, and your browser/plugins have to be up to date. Sometimes their "older version" (link on the main page) works better.
But it is a great reference!
