Oh one more thing......your last step that's like "Put on kit". I'm looking at the picture of your rivets sticking out, and looking at the inside of my body kit piece....and I have no clue how those rivets are supposed to attach each piece to the bumper. What am I missing???

Can get it online from Toyota parts people, Toyota parts source or juiced hybrid. Some people also seem to be getting it from dealerships.

    1) The size of the drill bit should be no bigger the the hole in the gray plastic piece.
    2) yes. Only drill holes where there are already holes in the 5 pieces for the rear bumper & for the 4 pieces on the front.
    3) no drilling for the sides. Just remove the screws & clips, remove old rocker panel, replace with new & install clips & screws.
    4) they are pretty easy. 10mm socket &/or a Philip head screw driver. Before u put on the plus kit on the rear bumper, install the new covers for under the rear that are supplied with the kit, then install the plus kit rear pieces.

Those metal abs will be cut of with the rivet gun so once they are tightened & cut, they will be flush.

The new plus kit pieces will clip omto those gray pieces that are riveted to the bumper.

Oooooohhhhhh....ok. So just drill holes, stick in rivets, the rivet gun is used to cut off the ends and leave those flush! So the under parts of the new kit pieces (back sides for sure) seem to have holes as well. I'm guessing supplied plastic clips go through those? And how do you get the rivets into the holes if I may ask a dumb question. Does a rivet gun/tool also do that or is that done using the drill or hand?

You drill a hole and grab a rivet out of the container and push it into the drilled hole by hand. Then the long pin on the rivet sticks into the head of the rivet gun and you squeeze the handles two or three times until that pin is stretched and snaps off flush with the rivet head. You just have to make sure the rivet is pushed in tight as far as it will go into the piece you are riveting before you set the rivet with the rivet gun. Are you thinkin of proceeding with the install yourself?

There ya go....some nice dumb instructions. Those are exactly what I need. Yeh I'm thinking about going ahead with it. I mean it's only so long I'm gonna sit here and stare at the kit in my workout room at home. I'm giving it until mid week. If I haven't found someone to do it I'm off to Home Depot for a drill and rivet tool.

All those black plastic clips included with the kit are for the side skirts? Or do those also come into play with the other 5 pieces? (I swear this is the last question) :notworthy:

This is exactly what is needed for this forum is a simple words explanation of how to do this or that install or mod. It will only help others in the future as you can be assured you are not the first or last person that will want to do a Do It Yourself project;)

First lets get some idea on what you want to invest in tools. You said Home Depot. Great, all of us can go to their website and see what you are gonna see so we can make suggestions. What were you thinking of spending on the drill? Cordless or corded? The drill will be the most expensive tool for this project. What else could you use a drill for around the house or otherwise? I suggest a keyless chuck. For drill bits there will be a whole wall of them in the store. Individual sizes of various types and sets of all kinds of sizes. You get what you pay for for drill bit life, but you are only drilling plastic so a cheep bit will do the trick just fine. Something you must be careful of, is when you drill holes, the bit will be doing the cutting. You do not have to push hard. The bit will all of a sudden have to break thru to the other side of the material your drilling so do not push that bit into something behind there that can not get nicked. You learn how far the drill bit is going to go by taking your time and not pushing too hard. Then to let off the drill trigger and pull that bit out of the hole so you don't drill a hole in something behind there that you do not want drilled :(

Practice on something else before you take the drill to your car :) You can buy some rivets for practice too. Since you are riveting plastic together, take some plastic container lids or something out of the recycle bin and drill holes thru both pieces and pop in some rivets. Take some good pics and show us so we can see if you are doing it right or need some advice. When you rivet two pieces together, they will be held together extremely tight by that rivet. That is the final outcome, rivets that are seated tight and do not wiggle around. Just remember when drilling that the bit will all of a sudden pop out of the backside of the material so do not drill a hole in your hand or anything else on the backside unless you are drilling into a block of wood or something used as a back stop.

I looked at the website and decided on both already in fact. I wanted a cordless drill. And a cheap but reliable rivet tool. Your advice is valuable so thanks for it. I would definitely benefit from practise. Here are the tools I chose.
Drill: 7.2 Volt Lithium Ion Drill/Driver-LDX172C at The Home Depot

Rivet Tool: Professional Rivet Tool-RH200S at The Home Depot

Let me know your thoughts. I didn't put a whole lot of effort into researching these.

Honestly i don't do a whole lot of stuff around the house at this point that would warrant the use of either of these tools. But I do think a drill is a good thing to have around. Sometimes even just for decorating purposes.

Yes & yes :) I think you will be fine with those. Do follow the instructions on charging and maintaining that battery in the drill so it lasts for years not months. The worse thing a person can do is leave a battery powered tool on the shelf for months or years with no use. The battery will die :( Some devices come with smart chargers so a battery sits in the charger while it maintains it while you are not using it.

They are for the side skirts. There are smaller black screws for the front & rear bumpers in the wheel arch.

Did you use those included clips for the sideskirts? I remember you mentioning that you may have used back the original clips and screws from the original OEM skirts?
