are the head lights always on or do i have to turn them on? do they auto turn off when the car is turned off? I have a Prius C II..My first morning driving the car...I was freaking out because it wasn't quite dark but it wasn't too bright out side this morning.
I think you forgot to turn off your headlights, they will auto off for a few minutes I guess. And no, they don't have the auto on/off feature on the C.
You have to turn them on. On the left stick, it's two clicks up from the DRLs. The DRLs are auto-off, but the headlights are not. They will, however, turn off 20 minutes after the car is off to save your battery.
oh ok. should I leave the DRL on and let them auto off or should I manually turn them off? will it hurt anything? is this the same for the headlights?
Oh, you're not talking about headlights only DRL. DRLs will be on/off with the car turning on/off. I think they're running at 49% power of the high beam headlights. And again, no auto on/off for the headlights.
It's up to you whether you want to leave the DRLs on (I do). They will turn off when you turn off the car. You should turn off the headlights before leaving the car, otherwise they will stay on for 20 minutes.
