I'm not sure which is funnier - the listed price, or the 'gas saver' sign. I suppose it's relative. Compared to....say, a Saturn V rocket, a Hummer could be considered the better environmental choice. Your eye's looking great, F8L. Good to see.
Gas-saver! I think it's a gas saver while it's sitting there and nobody is driving it. Maybe that's what it means? Hah. Well, I was texting while driving and you know, the craziest things happen when texting.
Re: "Tire stabbing" incidet in post #15. There appears to be a jet of air escaping the tire with telltale high to low pressure vapor. But if you continue to watch, the tire does not go flat. A run flat tire? It looks like the perp is right handed, and "stabs" with that hand. Is his right hand then pushed into his left arm and he releases the "knife?" I don't think so... What's the thing apparently shot from the wheel that ends up in the middle of the pavement, center right? It doesn't look like a knife. The object, knife or not, shoots under the blue sign and apparently ricochets back into the pavement. Could it be some kind of impact fired low caliber device? It would not be vapor but smoke that we saw. And the projectile ricocheted, did not puncture the tire, and now tumbling tore up his arm? The object on the pavement then being the impact device, maybe like a Hilti gun? I don't think that what's going on in the video is self evident by a long shot... (pun intended ;-)
Or a dually. Apiece of tire, a fragment of shirt These videos never are of the resolution you wish. Could that be what he used to put the tire? There is no clear shot of what tool he uses. I thought the vapor seemed to linger too long, but I've never witness a tire blow. A while back, I came across a story from a tire shop employee. A woman's TPMS light was on. A Prius so it gave no other indication beyond that. So she added air. Light still on. Added more. Still on. Eventually she brought it to the shop. While lifting the car up, a front tire blew. When they checked the other side, it was at 80+ psi. Apparantly the light comes on when also above a certain pressure. It was obvious that the fender was wrecked by something happening in tire well. Those truck tires have a minimum sidewall of 80psi.
