I am looking for a light set of wheels that arent too expensive. I found a few different sets on craigslist I cant decide on. I really like the Motegi SP10's on tirerack.com. I wanted the "Hyper black" but I found a decent deal on a pair of 18" "Matt black" that look ok. I just dont know how any of these will look on my Clearwater Blue Plug in Prius.

    Here are my options.
    1.Motegi SP10's $450
    18 Inch Motegi Racing SP10
    2. Enkei R $300
Enkei Rf1 wheels and tires 325 OBO
    3. Mystery wheels
    18 inch rims 5x100 and 5x114
    4. 5Zigen Fighter
Vehicle Rims and Tires *Set of 4*

I do plan on going with 35% tint on the windows. Because of the color of the car and the silver accents on the car (ie door handles and rear hatch) I'd like to stick with silver wheels. But I really do like the sp10's in the first link. I just wish they weren't black.

Ill post photos of my car when I get home. Are there any good Photoshopers out there?

I plan on tinting my win
Yeah I would have to buy them new. Tirerack doesnt sell them in 18's but thats ok. 17s would be fine. But they would cost $598 after shipping. The 18's in the first link are $450....

Ugh the 18's with tires are going about 44-45lbs with tires. Much more than my oem. I should wait and watch for a nice pair of 16's or 17's.

The Motegi listing is for 18x8 4x100/4x114.3.. the bolt pattern wont work for you. But I do like the Motegis. The mystery wheel looks OK too.

Regarding the Motegi SP10 on sale, I think the seller put the wrong info in the ad. If you look at the pic of the car it's a Honda Civic Si that has a 5 x 114.3 bolt pattern. The wheel can also fit 5 x 100. I know because I have the same wheel on my car except in hyper black.

jimbo - Wheel weight wise, the Motegi 18 x 8 weighs in at 18.6 lbs vs the oem 17 x 7 which weigh 24 lbs. The oem Bridgestone Turanza EL-400 tire 215/45-17 weigh about 22lbs vs my Continental Extreme Contact DWS 215/40-18 weigh 19.5 lbs. My 18" setup is actually 8 lbs lighter than the oem pkg.

You're current choices show 16,17 and 18 inch wheels that will all ride differently. If ride comfort/max fuel economy is a factor, I would stay away from the 18" wheels. Also if you drive in areas with alot of potholes, another reason to stay away from the 18's. Are you planning on lowering your car? If not, I would stay with 16" wheels.

Probably nothing to be paranoid about but I would request the seller to send a closeup pic of ALL the tires together to show the amount of treadwear and another closeup of ALL the wheels together, one pic showing the front face and another pic showing the back face.

    Hope this helps...

I like those mystery wheels. Looks like somr RH knockoffs, plus they are polished/machined silver rims. The matt black I personally think wont look right.
