not a bad idea, i would love to see elevation change as well, can have a large effect on range. i think someone said it was available in a phone app.

mentally, by experience. i suppose a computer program could do it if there was one. wouldn't that be sweet? plug your destination into the nav and it gives you a new ev range.(y)

can you get directions, distances and elevations?

  11. The critical component in efficient driving is knowing if you are traveling up,down or flat, right now, I don't think any map program will tell you that.

Future on board NAV could learn from routes that are repeated. This data could help choose the best route. And it could optimize EV battery usage over the course.

I voted Yes only because I used Google Maps to find a shorter route to work that avoided the freeway once I got my PiP. But aside from that, I don't use Google Maps specifically for EV range maximization.

Anyone ever tried the Eco Route or whatever on the nav? Shouldnt that do something similar (EV maximization)?

So you guys have seen my stupendous EV range on my way home from work.. here is the route profile up.. so you can see why I get so much EV on my return trip. Up I'm getting about 80 mpgā€¦ return in 300's.

When I set a destination in the car, when it presents me 3 routes, if I remember correctly, each one has a time, distance, as well as a $ cost.
