2009 Prius all windows stopped working except the drivers window.I have checked fuses, window locks,etc...I heard that the problem is the "bcm" which is located under the drivers seat. One window was half way down when it stopped working so I took the door panel off and ran wires from my laptop power supply and ran it up. I am wondering if i could run a wire from the battery with the correct fuse on it to each window and bypass this '"bcm" thing altogether.

It would not be safe even if it did work. All of the safety and logic features that are built into the computer would be lost. Also, I would think that you could be legally responsible should there be any mishaps in the future even if they are beyond your control.

    Don't do it.

It might need a whole new motor. But first check the fuses in the fuse box and make sure you don't just need a new fuse. To put in a new motor, you have to take the whole door panel off and it is expensive labor-wise and parts-wise.

    Hope I helped you!! :)

no window lock is not on and it is the "ecm" that is suspect.

Are you able to check/read car diagnostic codes? It can be more serious problem, than just a window logic. I would not recommend to bypass ECUs. And yes, you are in wrong forum.

The body control ECU is not under the seat it is located in the dash. See below.
