Ugh! Pricing

The MSRP of the Prius C 2 is 20745. Go to the toyota site and try and build one.
With the rarity of finding a Prius C right now, almost everyone is paying MSRP. If you have a deal in front of you for less than the MSRP, you are doing great.
I just bought my 2 about 2 months ago now. I paid MSRP.
Buy it.

 

It's a good deal man. Looks like the dealer is having an issue moving the "bad" color model. That is the reason for the discount. The "good" color that you like is probably much easier to move, so no need to discount it.
It's still a good deal. I would take it, but it's your call.

Did you point out the other car's price to the dealer? Use it as a negotiation tactic; ask why you should be paying more than they're advertising the same car for on their website. Maybe it'll work, maybe it won't. But you have a fine deal, so don't worry too much if they won't budge. Maybe they made a mistake on the website, and that other car is actually the base model. Maybe there are other fees that they don't include in that advertised price, that are included in your quote. Who knows.

Buy now and pay MSRP....or wait six months to a year for the price to drop.
That's a choice that only you can make, and the math is going to be different for different folks.
If you "have" to have a trial-sized Prius RIGHT NOW, then it's not really math. It's a matter of you wanting the car.
Yeah...you'll be able to wheel and deal more freely once the new-model whoop-de-do has settled down a little bit, but by then we could have $5 a gallon gas and then this model will be more difficult to deal for than it already is.

I haven't paid MSRP since my 20's.....and I won't.

Frankly, seeing what some of the other Toyota dealerships are pulling off with their 'deals', I think that actual MSRP minus a few hundred bucks for a "C" is a fairly good deal (for now,) especially in SOCAL. I've seen where people are paying for non-optional 'options' and other things like three-figure 'documentation' fees that drive the price of a C-model right into full-sized Prius price ranges.

Like I said....your call.
Don't ask me what I would do, cause that'd be my call.

It's not like you're salivating over a Camaro or a Mustang...
The C-model should be a good car and should also be pretty cheap to drive.
