I just signed up on the forum after searching for wrecked Prius Prii, Pris, Priuses??? (What is the plural for Prius on the board?)

I'm so sad that I can't drive my car. I've never had a wreck, so now I wonder, How long will it take to fix her? Will the value of it go down now that it has a "collision" on report? I have been spoiled by my Pri-Pri (yes, that's her name) and don't want a rental. Errrrr, why did this happen!? I was just sitting in line at the Starbucks drive thru.....

I am sure they will have your 'pri-pri' back on the road soon.

    It will be okay, then.

I can not say how badly this will effect resale, in 2014 just do a trade-in.

Ouch! That sucks big time, especially since you were not moving and it looks like the other car jumped the curb and hit you. :(

Ack! I feel bad for you. Coming to this thread is like thinking about my nightmares of having my car wrecked! I hope your Pri-Pri is back 100% ASAP! At least you are okay. That's the important thing.

Hey I just went though a fence in my 2012 first new car in over 20 years. In. 30 years of driving my firt boo boo and I was just avoiding a dog. I feel your pain. The dog was huge and would have done more damage. Fortunately people have been going through this fence every 6 months and the poles were set in sand.
Good luck at least you get a rental squirrels eat the wire harness in my old car and I'm just gonna have go with out for a while.

You can often get a little bit of "diminished value" when it is not your fault -- so I would try. Looks like the rear door is fine? With only one panel to replace ...You will be back on the road in no time

The plural of Prius is Prii. You guessed correct :) Hope you get your car back all perfect. Also welcome to the forum.

Major bummer. Well I am sure they will get it back together again but I know it will not feel the same. :(

    Well welcome aboard.

BTW, coffee can be hazardous to your health. At least that is what I tell my wife.

I took a similar hit, same corner. They ended up replacing the rear axle and a fair bit of the suspension components in that corner. Hard to to tell from your shots if the suspension has indeed been effected; I'm sure they would check it out.

Our shop did excellent bodywork and paint matching, looks and drives like new, fwiw.

I wonder what the heck the other driver was doing that they jumped the curb. Was their accelerator stuck? Brake failure? Passed out at the wheel (anything from heart attack to alcohol)?

That is one interesting picture that has some sort of story behind it.

Make sure that during your "diminished value" presentation you include the fact that your little 'pri - pri' must still be able to live the life that she is accustomed to.

Yikes, I wonder if that may potentially be a total loss since that looks like major structural damage. Even if it is not you'll take a major hit since the car can no longer be CPOed.

We found out AFTER we bought our Pruis that it was in a sideswipe accident. It was CPO'd, I thought that CPO meant no accidents.

Wow that must have been scary when they jumped the curb to hit you!
