I just received an email from Toyota that the Entune system is being upgraded to add voice recognition for Pandora, iHearRadio, OpenTable, and MovieTickets.com. I have the HDD nav system. I'm not sure what's upgrading on the Display Audio nav system. Personally, I don't use any of these apps, so I could care less about this upgrade. I'd rather they add some decent functionality to the voice recognition for the nav system. But that, it appears, is not to be.
From what I have read, Display Audio systems are getting the apps already on the HDD system, and HDD systems are getting additional voice command support.
Well, my BlackBerry received an updated app (1.5.xx -1.6.xx, I think). When linked to the car, my HDD head unit requested an updated. I used to have this problem I need to shut down the app on my phone, and restart it before starting to drive the next time, or Pandora will complain "insufficient connectivity". This update seemed to have fixed that. No new functionality that I can tell.
I am hoping the head unit is isolated (firewalled) from the hybrid ECU. Downloading updates off the internet may lead to malware infected ECUs.
In my 2012 Four, it is in the center console. For my car the letter said the update would be over the air.
I have experienced two of these over the air updates in 1.5 weeks. I think it is fetching data over my phone's 3G connection. Took about 3 mins each.
I finally got around to calling Toyota support for my upgrade. The nice lady asked me several questions one of which was how old my Prius was. I told her it was a 2012 and I had it about 2 weeks. She said "the dealers all have the upgrade stick and they should have upgraded it before I took delivery." When I stopped laughing my nice person off, I asked nicely if she could send me my upgrade stick. She says I should have it in 3-5 days.

This is awesome. I haven't received that email though. Entune needs a serious update!! Add more apps like Spotify.
