What is that plasma ionizer thing & what does it do. I thought it was an air vent to let the outside air come in. So if that's not it how do you let in fresh air? I don't remember reading about it in the manual.

It basically helps remove odors in the air. When activated it closes the vent for a short time.

The vent button is what actually controls letting in fresh air when open and recirculate the inside air when closed.

And I thought they did away with plasmacluster for 2012.

I thought the Plasmacluster ran all of the time?

Per my owners manual: Plasmacluster will operate in conjunction with the air conditioning fan motor when it is turned on.

When I first got my car I thought the micro dust and pollen filter button was for the Plasmacluster.
