I would love a choice to NOT SHOW EMOTICONS at all.

This assumes that emoticons are merely decorative, which is often not the case. They are often used to show sarcasm or humor, modifying or completely reversing the meaning of the text. That sort of editing changes the author's intent.

Emoticons, as qbee42 said are necessary to convey or modify the meaning of a post. That said I much preferred the vBulletin emoticons, the ones we have now are gay. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

It is based on emoticons being the spawn of the devil, the devil being the original happy face.

How does one determine the sexual orientation of an emoticon?

I wish we still had the numerical count on unread posts. Not hot on the Blue on White font, I get eyestrain from it.
Other that that it seems fine.
BTW 1 problem I have found. In trying to replace my signature pic to a smaller version, even though I have deleated 2 pics, I sit at 98 pics and CAN NOT upload the new pic! I don't know what's up. Anyone have this problem???

No. But it might be better to use off site photo storage rather than PriusChat's storage to keep pic's. It won't take up storage on their server and may even speed access a bit. I'm slowly getting the hang of it, my friend that sold me his prius, now traded for a F150 CNG, lets me use his account and I'll be moving my pics slowly over time.

No I was not doing or using anything special. I just have not had the time lately to get to know the new PC. One thing I don't like and I think it has been brought up before, is the colors there is two much white or shades of white and it is hard for me to look at the page and make since of if with the soft blue delineations. Is there any way for a user to change the colors of the page?

Not much to get to know with forum software really. Check out the threads. Read the one's one is interested in. Mark them to be followed. Come back, see if you have any alerts for stuff you are following. Read the new messages. That's the basic functionality of discussion forums.
No way to change the color setup from users standpoint. I like the new forum look, much more Mac and modern. A vanilla/chocolat issue there.

I know I just gotta figure out how to do everything with the new software.

Funny I am a Mac guy but I don't think that way. If you asked me vanilla would be my exact description of how the new PC looks to me.

I'm not digging the new site design. For one, the serif font is odd, IMHO serif font is for printed text, not on-screen text. There's a reason 99% of websites use non-serif fonts. But, it's not my site ;)

True. If it was trying to use Mac, it would use all San Serif fonts, for one thing.

I'm not saying it looks PC, though (if it were trying to look PC, it would use all Comic Sans).
