Rain Guard for Window

Weathertech makes the best Side Window Deflectors, since they fit really flush and are not the stick on type that tend to produce extra wind noise at highway speeds. Unfortunately, the Prius c is not on their lists yet.

I just sent them a heads up on the Prius c. Hopefully they will notice that this car is selling extremely well and that there's already a growing market for their products.

Since Toyota doesn't offer mud guards for this car, I mentioned that they could corner the market if they developed them for the c.

If you want the aftermarket industry to come up with products for the c, we are all going to have to try to contact them, to spur production. I don't think they have noticed this car and its potential sales numbers quite yet.

Sometimes you have to jump start them. Make noise if you want them to respond to the c.

Japan has genuine Toyota ones.... but yeah.. that's Japan... grr..

 

How would you wire it so it turns on with the front headlights but also had a switch to control on/off?

but to answer your question about hooking up foglights... run a relay to the headlights... and also have a switch..

 

Look up the manufacturers online and drop them a "Wish List" of things you want them to produce for your Prius c.

The more people that do this, the more the manufacturer's might notice the product demand for the c, and the sooner they will usually leap into the process!

Do it.

tirerack.com... for Wheels, they already list some tires.

There are many others that need to be contacted and informed that this car exists!

 

That's interesting. Mine supposedly came with mudflaps but they must have been aftermarket then ? Really, I'm clueless on this stuff. I went out to look at my car and near the front side of my rear wheel wells it does have these tiny little plastic flaps. On the front of the car ( hood side, all the way near the ground ) is this rubbery flap. But for all I know these things come standard on all the Cs.

 

Toyota also does offer mudguards for the car...

btw, those plastic flaps in the front of the wheel aren't mudflaps..

 

Hmm. I need to go back to the dealer then to figure this out then. I double checked my paperwork and actually it says mudguards. But, when I look at the images online and on the Prius site the base car with no options added looks exactly the same around the wheel wells and so on. Maybe they were supposed to add it on later ( like with the tint ).

4/6/2012 - I checked and like a couple of others mentioned, my dealer also said Toyota has the mud guards listed as an accessory but hasn't started manufacturing them yet.

 

You can get mud guards from Toyota now. Just got a set, have to get them put on yet.

these affix to the window with tape - thats not what i want. i want the in channel visors.

I emailed Toyota within the last month. They gave me a nice brush off and told me they had no intentions of making mudguards for the C.

I gave the guards on the Yaris a close look and bought a set for the rear. They will fit well enough around the fender but will have to add a few washers underneath on one of the fasteners. The front fender openenings looks entirely too model-specific to try to find a pair that fits by hit and miss. It would be quite by accident and prohibitively expensive without some insider info or assistance. I expect there's a pair out there somewhere that will fit, but I don't reckon I'll stumble across them any time soon.
