Wow, talk about going to the dark side!

 

I'd like to report that I fly past cars like yours in my new, commuter sticker-equipped Prius PiP. Bwah-ha-ha!

Heh, if I wanted to keep around a sporty car right now w/decent to good styling, I'd be looking at the Subaru BRZ/Scion FR-S. Not a ton of power but it's gotten a lot of praise for handling and isn't that horrible FE-wise.

Enjoy your new car! Be careful though, the Prius has a way of lingering on your psyche and one day you may find yourself longing for the Prius again. Gas mileage is an addictive thing.

It's OK to have a go fast car along with a Prius. But a Chevy? Aren't those things in the repair shop more than at home in the garage?

FWIW, the Camaro per Consumer Reports has an average reliability rating. If it were much worse than average, then I'd your statement would be closer to true...

Enjoy your new ride. If I hadn't bought a Prius I would have bought a Camaro, or maybe a Challenger, or maybe even a Mustang. Sometimes horsepower is everything, in my case, gas mileage became more appealing after I started my 100 miles a day commute,,,

Great car! If you can afford to feed it, that is.
However (comma!) the 2LT has the 300HP V6, and according to Fuelly.com you can get about 20-25 MPG (combined) with one if you're not using the throttle like an on/off switch. Not too bad for a car that's orders of magnitude more fun to drive than a G3!! Let's face it. If transportation is just about getting from point A to place next, than you might just as well take the bus---right?
Regardless....(or irregardless, which I like better since it drives stiff-necked English majors crazy!) It's a really cool car. Enjoy it, and stay connected to the PC!!!!
Besides its comedic value, this forum is a good way to keep your finger on the pulse of all things Prius if you decide to step back into the good graces of the community!

If the fixed the transmission, clutch, and gear problems that plagued the LS1 Camaro/Trans Am then this new model should be pretty good.

 

congrats on the car, a Mustang would have been better (i am biased, so take my advice with a grain...) modern V-6's should get you 30 mpg on the freeway easily. we have V-6 Mustangs rated 19/31 with 305 HP. great cars!

I agree with the above except the Mustang part.

My 2000 Trans Am and 2000 C5 had now problem averaging 29-30mpg on highway only drives. Driving from Everett, WA to Sacramento I averaged 29mpg in the Trans Am twice. I didn't even know about hypermiling and the only time I drove slow was when traffic forced me to. A bit of hypermling and slower driving could have driven this number much higher. Unfortunately, driving in the city would drop me down to low 20s but this was partially due to all the smokey burnouts that occurred at least once on every tank.
