Ehhh I can definitely wait. I've never gotten in my car and thought "I wish I could stream music to my car." Lots of this new tech stuff doesn't really do anything to improve our standard of living or how we go about life. It's just extra. I would hate if the prices of cars increased because of these unnecessary features. I'm not an economist, but I remember there's a word for that. Somebody help me.
Bait and Switch....wait, Bait and Don't Switch....wait......Oh shoot I can't remember either....I'll guess it can be called soaking the customer.
I'm definitely not familiar with that term so I guess I better go look it up. I haven't taken economics since 1968.
Seems like a pretty safe assumption that "most" cars will work with smartphones by then. Currently, there are many. My Prius syncs with my phone for handset and audio. When I was shopping for a car, only a Nissan that I was considering didn't have BT options (most Fords do, and this article mentions Chevy). They seem to only be counting cars that sync with phones: not how many features are supported. I like the handset feature with the Prius...that's basically all I'd use it for. I think it's too much that some interfaces let you turn on the car remotely. Who needs that??
Forced features? (Feature) Bloat? In some cases, companies will upsell you into more expensive trims, versions, packages, products, etc. by bundling a certain feature only in certain versions.
