I live in Lancaster and have a Summer Rain C Three. If you see it around, it is probably me! I think I have seen the white one as well!
I finally spotted one in the wild today. It was a white one parked in south San Jose. Prior to this, my only sightings didn't count: at a Priuschat gathering and at Hybrids 2 Hotrods, where a dealer brought one.
I saw a Habenero one in Lancaster, CA a couple weeks ago. Saw someone drive the red one away from the dealership in Lancaster (which I test drove, but held off for my Summer Rain C Three). And I saw a red one on the 405 southbound somewhere between Santa Monica and Century Blvd (I was in traffic, don't quite remember where I saw it) last week, Tuesday or Wednesday.
Two habaneros this week in the Portland metro area, seems to be popular color (or I just saw the same car twice).
Yesterday, driving from Illinois to West Virginia, spotted a white Prius C and a gray Prius C. Both looked like more basic models due to the lack of alloy wheels or a sunroof. I did see a Prius C four a few weeks ago though! The bigger alloys look amazing on it!
Saw a second one, but I think it may have been a test drive. I live really close to the dealership, and it was the same color (Habanero) as the only one they currently have in stock. I don't always love that color when it's cloudy, but it looked really good in the sun.
I'll keep a look out 4 you. I mainly drive on the west side around avenue k and L! I have a silver C3 keep an eye out 4 me! :cheer2:
Saw my first one today as my neighbor has purchased one (summer rain). I looked at it and I thought "that looks like a prius but it's strange". They covered it up with a tarp so I can't post a picture. Not seen one in person before.
The only black one I've seen was at the dealer when I was shopping around. At the time, I couldn't decide between the black and the moonglow. This was before I actually saw the moonglow at the dealership and fell in love!
I spied my first C on the road yesterday. As I was approaching a stop light I noticed the distinctive rear end in the right lane beside me so I lowered my passenger window and motioned to the elderly gentleman in the silver C to do the same. I asked him how he was liking his new Prius and he excitedly said he loved it and proceeded to tell me he was getting "68 mpg" . I told him his was the first I had seen on the road and he continued on, "Oh yeah? They're selling like hotcakes!". He was clearly a happy camper ron
Took a day trip to Newport, OR and saw a super white parked downtown from the same dealership mine came from (Capitol Toyota in Salem).
Saw my second Prius C yesterday, an bright white model with paper tags. It was parked outside the Natural Grocers store at 91st and Metcalf (the old Borders store). As usual, I didn't have the camera with me for a photo op. Tom
I "chased" a Habanero on the way to work on Friday. It looks really sharp and it's one of the most attractive color on the road.
